Not the prettiest of endings but fully deserved!! And finally a straight-set win
Thiemy and Feddy will get to play 5 straight days if they make final.

Thiem destroyed the Sousa 2nd offering winning 60% of those return points. Big serve game and 2nd serve return are key ingredients to grass greatness. Thiemerer on his way.

Excuserer.
It's not an excuse though is it? Federer just came back from injury and hasn't even played much this year, how can you expect him to be at his 2015 stage? I like Thiem, but you're overlooking the fact that Thiem beat a Federer who came back after a long layoff.

Can you belive Struff is #88 with lifetime earning only $1.2? it's scarey out there...
Why? He is only 26.

Federer will next play 32 year old Malek Jaziri who is absolutely peaking with career high ranking !
Lots of players are peaking after 30 these days.
Stuff at only 26 has a lot of time ahead !

I agree. The thing is if he had much more match play and match fitness, I would be much more confident of him winning against all of them due to his natural grass court pedigree. There are many more wolves now that he needs to be careful of, depending on how the draw plays out.
If Baghs doesn't tag him, Fed may get a wolf in the Halle SF.;) No more Zebra costumes, Thiem and Zverev are black wolves in the German Forest.

Adidas should maybe make vulture costumes for them next given how they are only good at eating up a near dead man and no good against the top seeds when it really counts.

Nattering Neighbobs of Negativity. Zverev is just a pup, barely 19. Excuserers have been at a long time; force of habit. Fed will be fine LOL. Thiem is probably overall at this point easily the fourth best player in the world and in close contention with Folderer and Mugray. Djoko's days are numbered. Thiem has been at the Wheel of Pain this season and is emerging.;)

Haste la vista baby.

'In close contention with Federer and Murray' 'Djoko's days are numbered'

The kind of statements that'd make even me cheer for Djokovic. Smh

He just lost one a few weeks ago against Thiem from like, 5 mini-breaks up
Oh c'mon !

Fed had 2 match points in that TB. The first one was so easy that Thiem almost rushed at the net for handshake but stood still seeing Granpa holding butter in his right hand..LOL

Strange match.
Ivo had no ground game today. If Kohli got the return over and in, the point was his.
As dangerous as a blind koala bear today.

Stakh could be a nasty opponent for Fed. He can serve hard to the backhand and put away weak returns with strong volleys.
