At the moment de minaur just cant hit like he wants with Carlos depth and pace

Is that what it is? I haven't seen every point, but I did see some UE by Alex. So far not too exciting.
Sinner made Di Minaur look like a punching bag. Alex is consistent and very rarely seems to get upset but against the top guys he offers absolutely nothing. He's almost like a younger Gasquet in the sense that he was very consistent in beating lower level competition but against the best it wasn't even worth watching as he has no weapons.

The score is close, but the whole time it feels like Carlos has a couple extra gears if needed. Let's see if he can stay interested. :)

De Minaur breaks, serving at 2-0 next.

Commentators saying the De Minaur has been under the weather this week, not shaking hands, first bumping keeping distance from others.
He's maximised his rest and minimised other commitments to give 100% on court.

Alcaraz has reportedly upped the weight of his racquet for more power..

Alcaraz, our Mediterranean POC hero, defeating a 5’5 guy from western imperialist Australia next to The Hague. Scenes. Cinema.

His timing has been off since the start of the match. Could it be the heavier racquet?
Or the sickness, and that hes not fully comfortable indoors yet, 5 grams of lead since the beginning of the season shouldnt be much of a problem by now, of course as the season progresses he Will be more used to It, as i see It, hes still growing as a player, consistency isnt something he was born with, but hes got all the rest

Now is time to break, cmon man, dont let him believe, OMG what a point

Im not specially Happy with the level but he really needed this title, these Kind of titles have always given him confidence going into the masters, i wonder if he plays doha, he would start very soon

That was a really impressive level raise, exactly what I had been waiting for all match. Just absolutely overpowered and outmatched De Minaur. Great win
Maybe I have too much belief in Carlos' abilities, but the whole match had the vibe of a warmup game. "Sure Alex, I'll play a game with you until the other finalist shows up" kind of energy. Glad he pulled through.
