Yeah that wasn't easy, that De Minaur cross court came in fast, and he still made a beauty of a drop shot out of it.

Sinner made Di Minaur look like a punching bag. Alex is consistent and very rarely seems to get upset but against the top guys he offers absolutely nothing. He's almost like a younger Gasquet in the sense that he was very consistent in beating lower level competition but against the best it wasn't even worth watching as he has no weapons.

I knew it wasn't gonna be an easy win for him, but he still got it done. Lets see what he does in Doha

Im not specially Happy with the level but he really needed this title, these Kind of titles have always given him confidence going into the masters, i wonder if he plays doha, he would start very soon

Maybe I have too much belief in Carlos' abilities, but the whole match had the vibe of a warmup game. "Sure Alex, I'll play a game with you until the other finalist shows up" kind of energy. Glad he pulled through.
