Victory in the Rotterdam 500 was important above all from a psychological point of view for Alcaraz.
He got this monkey off his back.
Now considering that Zverev will be busy on South American clay, in Doha I expect a final between him and Sinner with both respecting their seeding.

But congratulations also to De Minaur, a great tournament on his part, he reached the final without conceding a set, today he had an equal match with Alcaraz for two and a half sets.
The Australian amply demonstrates that he deserves the position he occupies in the rankings.

Ferrero is a good trainer but I don’t see any noted improvements in his game. I don’t think he should fire Ferrero, instead he should get an additional coach (like how Sinner added Cahill). Cuz on hards, he seems very unreliable

Alcaraz wins his 17th title and 6th at 500 level. It's his 1st title of the season and 1st since winning 2024 Beijing. He becomes the 1st Spanish player to win the Rotterdam title (coach Ferrero and Nadal both made finals but lost respectively to Hewitt in 2004 and Murray in 2009).

De Minaur made his 2nd consecutive final at this event losing last year to Sinner. If he can only avoid coming up against the Big 2 I feel the title will surely be his at some point.
