Nadal looked strong in the first set and imo the net finishes helped. The 2nd set was a brisk walk to the end. Good effort from monfils to finish of the match. I would love to watch these two play at RG. Hope it happens.

Good win for Nadal taking out the tough Frenchies. Now the real challenge lays ahead tomorrow.

What, Rafa's finished Monfils off in straights? Looks like he gets less and less exhausted towards the final... Is he gonna bagel Murray?:):)

Murray has a bum ankle, too. Apparently he was limping severely at the end of his semifinal match.

Looks like another trophy for the GOAT :)

Nadal is the only stable person left, mentally and physically. Monfils was sick, Murray is hobbling and Fed broke down mentally during and after the match. :-D

Tomorrow might be one of the few times I root for Nadal. I really enjoy watching Nadal and have immense respect for him, but as a Federer fan, I feel obligated to root against Nadal almost every time he steps onto the court. However, I really dislike Murray and I also would like to see Nadal have a nice, dominant year to help solidify his status as one of the greats. A loss tomorrow would really be rather insignificant in the long run, but if Nadal wants to come anywhere close to matching Federer's dominance of 04-07, he'll have to win even insignificant tournaments. So vamos, Rafa!

430...um what time would that be in NY....i want to see this match pretty badly, rooting for Murray and Nadal...in other words im impartial

website for the tourney, through atp site, now says the final is on the hour (half hour earlier)...for me 8 in the morning rather than 8:30, no sunday sleep in....anybody sure?

the final would be 8:30 for us, but as i said just a couple posts above the tourney has a 8:00 start on their website (after doubles) so i'm a little confused...you might want to get up at 8 to be sure, but please don't blame me if it's 8:30

i'm way past school days fed, but, yes, tennis fans definitely have to sacrifice with all the time differences...i would dvr some matches, but i'll be on the computer for this

Im not in HS or anything, im in college...i have class M/W/F so i'll be enjoying a 4 day weekend with Presidents day

That being said the time differences really screw up my sleeping patterns...during the AO i was going to bed about 4...then waking up to catch certain matches

it's important to stay in school if you are not yet comfortable with addition and substraction

If your trying to insult my intelligence i suggest you stop, i take offense to that more than anything...:!:

And ironically you spelled Subtraction wrong , there's only one "s"

oh thanks you are right, no certainly was not insulting anyone (just not in my nature at all), i was just making a general remark that - you know - school is important if your arithmetic isn't at the level where you can add small numbers without consulting an internet forum

I think Murray won't have too big troubles on this surface against Nadal. I was impressed by Nadal against Tsonga though but imo Murray is in a different league. I'm really looking forward to this match, I hope noone is injured or sick or whatever...

If your referring to my asking about the time difference...i had figured it out already, i just didn't see the reason to post "hey guys i figured it out Rotterdam time difference from NY", pardon me for not knowing the time difference for some random city i don't ever plan on visiting.

Your satirical nature isn't entertaining in the slightest

i had no idea you were in the midst of this whole project of figuring out the Rotterdam time zone (next time you could just type "Rotterdam time" in google) and then adding and substracting all day from the EST... i was just making a general comment, since people were mentioning school, and i was just saying that school is good for you, generally speaking, especially if you aren't one of the brighter crayons in the box, just a general comment out there you know... gawd...

Your still trying to be funny and failing...i asked....so what lots of people ask time zone questions, i wasn't in the midst of anything, you make it appear as if i'm some sort of idiot...which i don't take kindly to, i simply checked timeanddate.com and found my answer rather quickly...

Insinuating that im "not one of the brighter crayons" is rather absurd and makes me chuckle to my self..seeing as i pull off A's and B's by sleeping in class and drawing while my professors lecture, hell i haven't taken notes since i started college.

I'll reiterate what i said a few days ago..i would love to meet you on an empty street, i would proceed to hand you your own ass:)

If it helps at all, Rotterdam and Madrid are in the same time zone.
This time of year, subtract 6 for EST, subtract 9 for PST.

thanks for that DarthFed. Much appreciated! although I wont be surprised if I slept through the whole final because 8 am is really early.

No problem

On a school day i have no problems but on a Sunday my body is accustomed to being knocked the **** out at that time...i think i just wont sleep tonight that should work
