Looks like most of the top American guys are signed up. They moved it from SMU to The Star in Frisco which should be interesting. Ruud and Machac are also listed as playing.

looks like it's at the Cowgirl's training facility/headquarters lol Jerry has to get his hands in everything but hopefully this will be good for tennis

Understood, but I find the state of Texas to be all the bad “…ist’s” and don’t fee safe in Texas. Nor would I like to give them a penny of my hard earned $$$ or waste vacation going there.

I am not saying Texas doesn’t have some good areas, but I am boycotting the state
It has without a doubt some of the best food , especially mexican, in the country and I'm from the west coast. Parts of Austin are very nice and most people agree. Besides that, I have no interest in the state.

What's the new facility like? The outgoing venue looked more like a challenger event facility than even a 250.

Not sure what the court layout will be like but The Star is the Dallas Cowboys headquarters complex and it's pretty fancy, from what I hear. Ford Center is a 12,000 seat arena which hosts football games, concerts, etc. I'll be curious to see if they just have the one court or if there will be a practice court or two as well.

The Dallas Open will feature over 7,000 seats on Stadium Court, a general seating Grandstand Court and access to 4 visible practice courts. We welcome all fans to enjoy the hospitality tent located on the plaza which will feature some of the best food, beverage and music that Frisco has to offer.

I do hear Austin is the premier place to visit. But, I have heard that Nebraska has some of the best Mexican…. Let’s face it, Mexican is really super popular in the US despite the bizarre hatred of folks coming over the border. Colorado had a lot of good Mexican. You can get it anywhere in the US

Whoa! Pare amigo! Getting mex. food anywhere doesn't mean it's good. I've been to a lot of states and "good mf" is not easy to find. You can easily become sick from crap food.
FL has below avg. mex. food but the best cuban & south american understandably.
---I'm pretty sure the bizarre hatred comes from the news media perpetuating fear. There's no "widespread hate" or growing hate, only the criminals. People are smart and know the reality than generalizations from the media or elected.
*** We must stay on the topic of tennis and ATP 500, not politics, social debates or a terrible sports activity that require little movement.

For me, the mere mention of Dallas immediately conjures up images of JFK's fatal motorcade and the Ewings of Southfork.

Not to mention Debbie of course!

Fritz playing Rinderknech first round, that should be interesting. I wonder who Aggies will support, the 'Merican or the A&M grad.

I was thinking about going, but then I dragged my feet and didn’t get tickets or a hotel and now it’s too late to put in the PTO so yeah looks like I’m not going lol. What other events, challengers, are held in the Mid west?

They lost Luka Doncic to AD and a first round pick, really?

My worst gym experience was in Dallas, in the summer....they decided not to be bothered to fix the air conditioning....it was absolutely brutal

My old gym had no air conditioning in Fort Worth. The worst time of year was May/June because it's humid hot. The dry heat sucked too of course, but that humid heat was like training in a sauna.

I live in NYC now and the weather is so much nicer. Never gets truly hot here unless you have a steam radiator in winter..
