Where you been the last 15 years?

He usually has the match in hand by the time he gets to 4 and 1. Don't know what made him allow what should have been a straightforward 1st setter become an unnecessarily tight 3 setter. Anyone see the match? Comments?

In any event he's through to his 1st ATP semi-final since returning from his hip surgery. It's progress!

Yes, but irrelevant now that Nabokov’s Humbert Humbert has advanced.

Just hoping the Copil ordeal wasn’t another Pyrrhic victory.

Can't quite fathom why the Copil match turned into an ordeal in the first place given that Andy should have served it out for a straight sets win instead of turning it into an unnecessary 3 setter. Does he just love staying on court do you think?

All 4 quarter-finals have gone the distance which promises some interesting matchups tomorrow with 2 up and coming kids facing off against 2 ageing veterans. Which will triumph: youth or experience?

It’s been youthful revolution these last few weeks except for Metz (Tsonga) and Tokyo (Joe Kovic) being the only tournaments won by the 30s age group. The Kids Are Alright theme can continue in all three tournaments this week if Rubylev and Shapo prevail in Moscow and Stockholm and real baby Sinner or Humbert win Antwerp.

As so often happens, Andy has chances to break, squanders them all and then promptly loses his own serve. I predicted almost exactly how this would go as I watched.

Doesn't look as if Andy is in any kind of shape to take on Stan anyway so good luck to Humbert, the youngster is clearly hungry for it more.

Humbert 6-3, 4-5 queue

As he usually does with hard hitters that aren't physically conditioned to the same level, he's cooking Humbert.

Youth bows to Experience once more. 2 thirtysomethings beat 2 young guns whose combined age was only a few years older than the age of either of their opponents.

Is it just psychological with these young 'uns or are the Oldies just better players? @stringertom

Lol at no votes for poor Stan in the poll. If he wins the title tomorrow some of us are going to end up with some serious egg on their faces!

Obviously the uncharted territory of weekends at an ATP tournament was too much here. In Stockholm, the ninth time was the charm for Shapo to reach a final.
