ATP fantasy league picks, US Open

Blake looks dead in the water unfortunately. Calleri can probably beat him at this point, he did last year. I have Roddick into the fourth round before Baghdatis beats him.

Here are my quarterfinalists: Federer, Berdych, Haas, Murray, Baghdatis, Gasquet, Soderling, Nadal.

Draw and picks are here

Roger Federer
Andy Roddick
Tomas Berdych
Lleyton Hewitt
Andy Murray
Tommy Haas
Gael Monfils
Robin Soderling
Bryan & Bryan

My biggest worry is Monfils, choosing between him and Nadal is a tough choice, but Nadal has Phillipousis which could be a potential upset along with Malisse, Monfils, and a few other dangers in his section, so I may save him for Tokyo and Madrid.

I'm thinking of

Federer
Blake
Haas
Davydenko, Gonzalez or Murray
Roddick
Ljubicic or Hewitt
Chela, Soderling or Hrbaty
Nadal

doubles: Bryans, I guess

This is the last opportunity of the year to make some serious strides in the rankings...

Rafael Nadal
Roger Federer
Andy Roddick
David Nalbandian
Richard Gasquet
Novak Djokovic
Andy Murray
James Blake
Bryan & Bryan

Nothing really too radical, I took risks in the other slams and payed for it so i'm going for the safety first approach with this one.

Federer
Nadal
Blake
Roddick
Haas
Robredo
Gonzalez or Davydenko
Gasquet or Ljubicic or Hewitt....

Doubles Bryans, I suppose....

Wow, but what about Baghdatis' slam record on faster surfaces?

Baghdatis is in the toughest part of the draw imo along with Ljubo's quarter. There are really 3-4 people who could come out of that section, could be Baghdatis, could be Roddick, could (extremely unlikely) be Agassi. Along with a few other danger players in that section. Depends on if Baghdatis can bring his head like he's done so well at the other slams outside of the French.

Roger Federer
Rafael Nadal
Andy Roddick
Ivan Ljubicic
Fernando Gonzalez
Andy Murray
James Blake
Tommy Haas
and Bryans

hope its a roddick federer final

nadals quarter is very tough to predict........imagine that draw at FO some good clay courters for Nadal eg Monfils Horna Acasuso Ferrer Almagro Massu Robredo Chela......and some big servers Karlovic Minryi Philippousis.

I personally think Baghdatis is extremely overrated, overhyped, everything. He plays such poor tennis outside of slams. Even at Wimbledon he almost lost in the 1st round to Alan Mackin, of all players... I admit I may be wrong on this, but I don't see Marcos making it past the 2nd round at the US Open.
