Can't believe the tournament won't be in London anymore. Time flies so fast.

I was just 16 years old when the first edition commenced and now I'm a full grown adult o_O o_O

He was lucky to win this year tbh. Some mental midgetry from Timmy got him across the finish line
Well Novak might not have to face Thiem if Nadal takes care of Thiem. Or Nadal could also take care of Medvedev.
If Novak had to beat BOTH Thiem/Medvedev - then yeah it would be hard for him.
But luckily for Novak he might have to face neither or only one of them. And if he faces Nadal you know the story..

Nadal beat Millman, who beat Fed the year before, in R1.
He beat Chung in R3, the SF opponent of Fed AO18.
He beat Cilic, the final opponent of Feds last two slam wins, in R4.

Turns out Nadals USO19 draw was a merger of Federers second weeks draws of recent slam/slam wins.

Care to explain why Millman R1, Chung R3, Cilic R4 is laughable but Cilic in Slam finals or Chung semi is not? You won't, because you cannot.
lmao so basically

r1 - nadal beat this noob who beat someone who once beat an injured federer in this 250 tournament
r2 - nadal beat this guy who beat him in 2003, big threat
r3 - nadal beat berrettini...

dude nadals draws were a complete joke

For starters, no one called Millman and Chung tough opponents.

Cilic in 2019 is a shadow of his early to mid 2018 self.

when it was last time winner of wtf won ao next year..do you have this info?
2015 Djokovic won WTF, 2016 he won AO. Both Fed and Djokovic did it multiple times.

Andy Murray cursed WTF by winning it in 2016 and then promptly dropping out of top 10 with a career-ending injury

May Med be the chosen one that breaks the curse

Thiem, Medvedev or Zverev imo
From your lips to God's ears. I hope it happens.
But once bitten twice shy. The next gen have ALWAYS disappointed. Think of Karen, Stefanos, Zverev and now Medvedev/Thiem.
I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same story in the first 2 slams: AO for Novak and French for Nadal.
We would still be wondering WTF happened to next gen.

I think Wimbledon is the safest bet for Novak bc no one seems to know how to play on grass besides him and Federer.
