Sadly I can’t even bet on it
He’s now the big favorite. Avoids FAA in the SFs and will get a pigeon in Medvedev or Tsitsipas instead. Won’t need to play Djoko until the finals. At which point Djo will probably have lostGood draw for Rafa! I think he’s the favourite for the event with this draw,
Is this some kind of reverse jinx?!He’s now the big favorite. Avoids FAA in the SFs and will get a pigeon in Medvedev or Tsitsipas instead. Won’t need to play Djoko until the finals. At which point Djo will probably have lost![]()
Good draw for Rafa! I think he’s the favourite for the event with this draw,
Thrashing Djokovic doesn't translate to beating Nadal. They gave him FAA, the man who thrashed Djokovic at Laver Cup. They don't even pretend now. They're doing everything they can to stop Nadal from another year end #1.
At the Indoor ATP Finals-How many times did he actually play ATP Finals? He only has 20 match wins in the event!
Not to mention his own coach willing to sell his secrets to the opponent and supporting his opponent. Some morale booster that ought to be.His personalized pigeon
A guy who couldn't beat him when he could barely move and served at WTA speeds in Wimbledon
FAA who's been playing tennis for like 10 weeks straight
Why don't the organizers just cancel the tournament and give Nadal his YE 1, or would that be too obvious?
Its a very tricky group, a great idea to have those elites all fighting it out for a chance to meet Nadal. In group Red: Medvedev beat’s Djokovic, Djokovic beats Tsitsipas and Tsitsipas beats Medvedev
This is a scenario which is really possible and tgen Rublev matches will be decider so one that loses to Rublev basically doesn’t qualify but in case all beat then it will come to margin of victories and that would make it pretty open
I don’t think you realize just how trash Ruud and Fritz are. Not only is Ruud in horrible form, suffering from the same indoor limitations as Nadal, his BH has a giant “attack me” sign in big neon letters written all over it. Nadal could beat this guy with his eyes closed. As for Fritz he couldn’t beat an injured Nadal who couldn’t serve at Wimbledon, he’ll have no chance here.Is this some kind of reverse jinx?!![]()
I just don't think he'll be able to turn it on for this after being clearly off in Paris.I don’t think you realize just how trash Ruud and Fritz are. That’s Rafa guaranteed to at least get to the SFs. Even if he does drop a match to FAA (who similarly is going to struggle with Rafa’s lefty topspin due to his low margin BH), I think he’ll have found enough form to beat anyone in the draw. He’s just so much more talented and has the best forehand, net game, and slice here. For these NextGen mugs, Nadal is nigh unbeatable at his best.
Djokovic just lost to a freaking 19 year old and was a point or two away from losing to tsitsipas. He is old he is vulnerable and he will be burnt out dealing with the huge serves of the young guns in his group.
Nadal has his best chance in decades.
He looked very off the pace in Madrid then retired with a foot injury vs Shapovalov. That was before beating FOUR consecutive top ten players at RG. So yeah, I think Nadal’s injuries and lack of form coming in is basically irrelevant.I just don't think he'll be able to turn it on for this after being clearly off in Paris.
Nadal is not making it out of the group unless he has improved outrageously since Paris. I think he will get better as the event goes on but the damage will be done in the first match vs FritzHe’s now the big favorite. What damage can Fritz do though? That’s my point, he can beat these guys at 20%Nadal is not making it out of the group unless he has improved outrageously since Paris. I think he will get better as the event goes on but the damage will be done in the first match vs Fritz
Rafa is my source https://www.atptour.com/en/news/nadal-march-2022-injury-announcementAccording to who?
Er…a stress fracture IS a broken bone. It’s just a specific type of broken bone.
A big IF, indeed.Honestly if the real Rafa shows up, he can do this. He will probably be serving for a match and get extended into an unnecessary slugfest and end up tearing an ab.
Yeah bit of a missed opportunity really...I'm a Nadal fan and I hate this group lol, I badly wanted Nadal to play Djokovic
They fear Nadal winning as long as he is in any draw with a pulseSo many butthurt Djokobots... seriously guys calm down
Why does it matter to them so much if Nadal gets YE#1?
It's not like he's going to win 4 matches here anyway...
How much do you bet, pal?Draw pretty much ensures that Djokovic wins it easy if he tops his group.
FAA will top his group and post that Djokovic FAA finals with Djokovic to win in a tight 3 setter!
Addio, Lupo Serbo, le carte sono pescate.Tsits and Meds will take Djokovic out.
Slay, bestie! You are right because what you said doesn't add up.
Is Nadal a favorite in this type of tournament?Good draw for Rafa! I think he’s the favourite for the event with this draw,
Are you claiming that Uncle Toni is some kind of mobster who would do everything for money? Not to mention his own coach willing to sell his secrets to the opponent and supporting his opponent. Some morale booster that ought to be.
Djokovic would be favoured but I wanted Rafa to win that match so the bots can shut up about HC set streak and whatnotYeah bit of a missed opportunity really...
I know Nadal would have got done in by him anyway, but still would've been the most interesting match in the tournament.
Have you seen Nadal's level after Wimbledon?I don’t think you realize just how trash Ruud and Fritz are. He will still beat those two mugs like a drum.Have you seen Nadal's level after Wimbledon?
It is not to applaud, let's say.

Calm down, remember this is just an exo. Nadal fans have said that 60 trillion times since 2006.Tsits and Meds will take Djokovic out.
In form and healthy, of course. But I question how in form and healthy he is. And we need to give some credit to the opponents. FAA really is better than he was months ago and seems to love playing indoors. Ruud may "have no big weapons" (if that's even true), but he competes well and can grind and made two Slam finals this year. Fritz does have weapons there's at least the chance he can play a good match, be "on" and cause Nadal problems. What damage can Fritz do though? That’s my point, he can beat these guys at 20%
You haven’t seen the practice sessions the ATP has been live streaming. Nadal is looking amazing. In form and healthy, of course. But I question how in form and healthy he is. My bad then. I was just basing my observations on the last few times I've seen him - the USO and Paris. You haven’t seen the practice sessions the ATP has been live streaming. Nadal is looking amazing.
even if he his 50% he will beat both Fritz and Ruud
More damage than Tommy Paul. What damage can Fritz do though?
are you guan? This is great. It’s more balanced Than I thought it would be.
