Yah man, good to see new (to me) players enjoying the challenge. TG looks so much more grounded - it's always rewarding to observe the boost of confidence that players can derive from a good win in a tournament, and so seems to be the case with the dude.Watanuki finally running out of steam. At least he had a good run.
Did you watch the matchMedvedev is finally playing well since post ao. Bagelling tommy Paul is big deal. He needs more wins to stay top 10.
No, the match was at midnight for me.Did you watch the match
I’m right there with you. The degree and play of spin… absurd. Was hitting the slomo vids the other day and how perfectly synchronized everything is down to the thin margins he has on his contact point to get that much action. Has to catch the ball in the back pocket of the racket but it’s always clean.I believe shelton has what might be the best kick serve ever seen on planet earth. Not exaggerating. Isner the only competition there imo. There have been many through the years, but honestly, and on these courts in particular...it's outrageous.
Yah man, good observations. Dude's form finding fruition with deadly effect. He blew poor Nakashima away just now, breadstick in the 2nd. The kick serve in particular, but he is showing greater variety generally. Gave a good on court interview, he is articulate and considered in his responses. He'll play Draper or Fritz next...... Look at this graphing of the deuce kicker in the 1st:
what's crazy is that he's actually not aparticularly good spot server...the heat is basically unmanageable, and the kicker is just nasty, but what he weirdly doesn't have is like a repeatable, line-painting mid-high 120s delivery like some big servers of the past: goran, stich, krajicek etc.Yah man, good observations. Holger is fast and has great defence, but he does look a bit clumsy in terms of footwork at times. Not on clay, though. He really slides brilliantly.Close, yeah. I think there are some names we are forgetting but that's a good start.
He sure knows how to take the trash out - just ask the Zedmug.Cerundolo, thank you for your service.
Jack Draper is baselinerCmon Jack......Don't let the Fritz bloke bore you to death from the baseline.
Nope varies it nicely and happy to serve and volley. Great to watch.Jack Draper is baseliner
Problem is it's harder to get value from kicks as a lefty. The lefty serve recipe is flat and sliceI believe shelton has what might be the best kick serve ever seen on planet earth. Not exaggerating. It’s amazing how his movement makes Roddick look like BaryshnikovCompletely here for the exposing of Fritz
Welp, he failedDraper is about to try and serve this out
The entire tour is a baseliner.Jack Draper is baseliner
