Another doubles T serve has 6-4.....Isner finally undone by low bounces in good long rally. Humbert takes Tiebreakner 7-4.o_O

Minor incident with ice cube being possibly thrown on court. Humbert screwed after umpire discussion with lines woman and ball boy, but just one of first points of set. Humbert holds again, Isner wilting in heat and serving at 1-2. The Isner wilting is surely an act as the Isner Open next week is in Hotlanta.:sneaky:

Humbert just wide with return of T serve, 40 all.....but first return drops in another S&V. BP

fault, ... S&V and Humber return sails long.... Huge ace out wide for AD and another service winner out wide has Isner at 2 all.

Isner may be serve and volleying to avoid the rallies with the low bounces which may be taking a physical toll on him.

Watching the Jarry vs. Londero match; I like 'em both. It would be nice for Jarry to win his first ever title though. Jarry is ahead 2-0 in the first set...

Jarry won the first set and is up a break in the 2nd - he may win his first ever title today! :)

Jarrybot wins. Londero refuses interview during runner up acceptance and grabs mike from MC as his English so poor. Makes some fine remarks and gets translation help from Jarry.:p Jarry takes celebratory champagne to his box as MC and Londero retreat before the opening (Fognini drowned her last year). Whole box and girlfriend got a pour and then Londero had a drag on the way back.

Jarry with nice momentum on clay now with Geneva final and two match points versus Zverev and now this first title. Zedrot and Jarry have all the luck and meet first round of Hamburg.

Congrats to Jarry on getting 3rd time lucky and joining the ever lengthening maiden ATP winners' list in 2019!

Congrats to Lajovic on joining Jarry in the ever lengthening list of maiden ATP winners in 2019.

Isner wins his 1st title of 2019 in Newport, 4th at that event (now making him the Newport GOAT), 14th at 250 level and 15th overall (tying Gasquet for joint 9th place in the top 10 list of current players with the most singles titles).

Bizarre display by Bublik in the Newport final today including underarm serves when facing break points and championship points and an in-between-the-legs attempt at a drop shot when at break point in the 2nd set (which effectively ended his chances of getting back into the match).

Well done Duci! You deserved it! :)

A couple of first title winners this week. Jarry and Lajovic. Only Krajinovic remains without a title among the Serbian brigade, hopefully he will join the rest soon.

Balazs would have made it the ninth time a title winner saved MPs en route to winning a title in 2019, having saved 7 of them in the first round, but we remain at eight narrow escapes in this season for now.

We're up to an amazing total of 13 players who won their first ATP title in 2019 with just over half a season played. Sandgren, De Minaur, Londero, Opelka, Djere, Albot, Pella, Garin, Mannarino, Fritz, Sonego, Jarry, Lajovic.
