Humbert now loves the grass and earned a #4 seed and a bye at Newport. Won’t play until at least Wednesday vs Ramanathan/Stakhovsky winner.

A fitting cap to the Museum Slam circuit, but basically the stadium is negligible. I'm not sure how tournament sponsorship works, but surely this should be jettisoned for a hard court event down the road? Now that they've added another week to grass season, just seems time to let go. There are hard court challengers in Mexico more deserving than Newport's low attendance.

I've watched like 10 seconds of Newport so no idea and really they can do what they want since Wimbledon a year away.

Pleased to see Bublik finding his way back to better tennis after some early promise years ago in St. Petersburg?(or Moscow) Humbert is an odder duck who seems to have grass game at age 20, a rarity these days. Want to catch both their matches today.
