Still good for KK.Net cord saved it.
The net cord stood on his way in his match point. He’s also unlucky.Passiverev has delivered once again.
Again, the final tiebreak shows why he will never win a slamThe net cord stood on his way in his match point. He’s also unlucky.
Been a Khachanov fan ever since he beat Zverev today.Been a Khachanov fan ever since he said his favorite book was The Picture of Dorian Gray. Go Karen
It seems a third world tournament!Ridiculously late start for Fritz/Shelton. It's a two week tournament!!
Seems the 3rd shift tennis fans at the meat packing plant will be enjoying it.It seems a third world tournament!
My comment produced a double break point on Fritz’s serve.Shall we see three tiebreaks?
And his serve broken. I am lethal. My comment produced a double break point on Fritz’s serve.
Please use this power responsibly. And his serve broken. I am lethal.
Come onnnn! Shelton just won the set.paul annacone said a nice way to put it is that shelton is a little more collegiate with his come ons lol
Shelton’s advantage on Fritz is that he’s not boring.Come onnnn! Shelton just won the set.
Never seen him get this many returns in play and get in to this many service games .Looks like Ben shelton has risen. That firepower can make him go distance
Yes, hoping it wasn't just Fritz making him look good, but the highlights show a pretty patient Shelton returning far better than average.Shelton played a great match yesterday. His return game has stepped up a couple of levels. And he has become a pretty good baseliner too. That was an impressive win. Hopefully, Shelton can keep this going for one more match to raise the big trophy.
Definitely the best match I have ever seen Shelton play. Much better rally tolerance than I’d come to expect and really good on return.Shelton played a great match yesterday. Yah man, dude seems to be synchronising his other skills better, improved focus too. Outplayed TF ( my candidate for the title) comprehensively. AZ pipped to the post, KK through by the skin of his teeth.Looks like Ben shelton has risen. That firepower can make him go distance
Agree that. It's interesting to see how young players develop, how they learn to orchestrate their abilities / skills. As ever, much of it tends to reflect the prevelant emotional state, and BS's confidence has grown significantly this year. Can he clinch the title?Shelton was also outlasting Alex de Minaur in rallies actually which should have raised a lot more eyebrows than it did.
Ben has been improving for a while now but these 2 matches back to back suggest that if he were to keep moving in this direction he'd be a nightmare for almost anyone.
I was just going to come on and brag about it, but shucks you beat me to itProps to @speedysteve bold prediction
He might be the most defeatist top 10 player I've seen, maybe ever. His energy is really low. Some of his post match interviews are bizarre and cringe with the self deprecation.Again, the final tiebreak shows why he will never win a slam
Though it is a platinum opportunity for Ben, please bet responsibly!Shelton to win his First MS1000 hopefully.
BS is definitely a great name for Ben!!Yah man, dude seems to be synchronising his other skills better, improved focus too. Outplayed TF ( my candidate for the title) comprehensively. AZ pipped to the post, KK through by the skin of his teeth.
An unexpected contest for the title.

Indeed no more BS!!Shelton was also outlasting Alex de Minaur in rallies actually which should have raised a lot more eyebrows than it did.

I don't know if it's my imagination but it feels like our 1000 event gets skipped a lot by top players. I'm going back even 10 years ago on this.Very disappointing that Sinner and Alcaraz skipped Toronto and are in the draw for Cincinnati
I live in Canada and wanted to see them live.
How can we get bigger names to come to our tournament?
platinum? lol it's not like his playing tsitsipus on the other end. Khachanov is in pretty good form and has a great return game (as demonstrated last night against zed, who is a much better server than Ben is). Khachanov does need to bring his 1st serve % up for this final, tho. For a 6'6" guy, his 1st serve is very underwhelming.Though it is a platinum opportunity for Ben, please bet responsibly!
Is Zed conclusively a better server than Shelton?
