Not a bad effort by Max, he broke his ankle 3 months ago thus is still finding his match fitness, now inside the top 50.... :happydevil: , how high can he go?

Zverev crushing it out there. He’s going to be tough to stop here. He’s getting closer to a much better level. He’s loving the faster cincy courts and we know he loves best of 3 as well. Great to see this after his horrific injury last year.

Yes Alcaraz has not been too inspiring on the NA hardcourts so far. But it's been a sign of the real top players that they can do what's required, and then turn up the level when they have to. Is this the case with Carlos here? Or is he still struggling to adjust to the surface / maybe all the matches he's played are catching up with him?

If he wins against Hurkacz, I believe that he's guaranteed to retain the #1 ranking.

But unless Djokovic loses tonight, retaining the #1 ranking post USO won't be in Carlos's hands - Djokovic would get back to #1 by reaching the final, even if Alcaraz wins Cincy and defends his title.
In truth most of the top players have not been inspiring either on the NA hard courts so far.

Well, Fritz needs to do something "completely different" to quote Monty Python if he thinks to stand a chance here.
