What's happening in the Alcaraz/Dzumhur match? I had to leave after the opening game of the 1st set but saw that he won it 6-1. Now down 4-1 in the 2nd....

Casually observing the Alcaraz match and this is the 4th or 5th match this weekend I've had to mute due to the annoying kid chanting "Let's go _____ "

Finally, after months of glazing, until next clay season Alcaraz cult will stay quiet. Today he’s going to lose, at Us Open is going to lose, same for Indoor and AO. Sinner era is now, Alcaraz will maybe win 1 or 2 slams, but he’s finished.

That’s not the point, at all. Sinner wins 6-1, 6-1 routinely. Carlos makes a mess out of everything, he could be playing a Challenger and still drop inexplicable sets to mugs playing at a horrendous level.

He saves his good tennis for the business end of tournaments always has, Sinner is just a robotic bore.
Sinner will never generate the "Ooohhs" and "aaahhss" that Alcaraz does with his exciting tennis style.
Dzumzur is a good player too, a lot better than whoever

Dzumhur is a once good player. 7 years ago.
After several years in the absolute wilderness (he was outside the top 200 just last year) he became a challenger vulture who has done just enough to get back in the top 100. In actual ATP-level tournaments, he’s done absolutely nothing this season aside from push Alcaraz at RG. He loses to every single half decent player he sees and we’re now hyping Dzumhur as if he’s some tactical mastermind.
Only compared to Ferrero he is. But I guess when you stand next to an ant you might look like a giant.

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Luke Shapovalov The Foolish? I thought not. It's not a story Rosstour would tell you. It's a Sith legend. Luke Shapovalov was a Ballbasher of the ATP, so powerful yet so foolish he could use his groundstrokes to influence the midichlorians to create unforced errors… He had such a knowledge of unforced errors that he could even keep the shots he cared about from landing in. The knowledge of unforced errors is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing a match, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his opponent all his weaknesses, then his opponent defeated him in the third set. Ironic. He could save others from losing matches, but not himself.

If Alcaraz makes the Cincinnati final and loses to Sinner 6-7 7-6 6-7, he narrows the rankings gap with Sinner by 650 points. And if Alcaraz makes the Cincinnati final and loses to Sinner 0-6 0-6, he narrows the rankings gap with Sinner by 650 points. Not a bad position to be in. (And should Alcaraz beat Sinner in the final, he'd narrow the rankings gap with Sinner by 1,350 points!)

UC catches Shelton moving to the middle on the return and serves out wide. Shelton actually did well to reverse and get his racquet on the serve but obviously didn't put it back in play. It looked kinda funny.
