davidovich was front running all the match, if you dont capitalize these things happen, so dont let the net fool you, that wasnt the decider in this match, not taking your chances was

Sure he should have capitalized on his chances but still this has nothing to do with being very unlucky with the net cord at 5-5 in the deciding tie break. It's just always a pity, when this happens in important points but that was just the worst possible moment.

Yeah, I haven't seen him in a while actually and remembered him a bit shaky mentally in the past but the last couple matches I watched, he looked really well in this regard as well. Definitely a dangerous player, if he can keep this up.
Still, I think he lost due to the net cord to be nit-picky ;) Sure he could have lost without it as well but he played great again in the tiebreak and had at least a good chance of winning it without that unlucky point. I do get your point though.

I really want Carlos to play on Friday since it will be his 20th birthday!!!! :) So I sure hope he gets past Khachanov! :)

Who would have imagined an Altmaier vs Coric quarter?

There have been mild and huge upsets today: Khachanov over Rublev (mild), Altmaier over Munar (mild), Zhang over Fritz (huge).

Hoping Zapata Miralles is able to dispatch Stef. I prefer Cachin over Struff but it doesn't really matter that much to me.

he just misses some consistency, with that phisique and those shots, as soon as his head gets in a good place he has tremendous potential

Wow, Struff is my hero - 7:6, 6:7, 6:3, hitting twice as many winners as Cachin (about 50:25). Now up to his second quarter final after MC. Fantastic!

I thought this as well watching him beat Djokovic last year. Then he did a whole lot of nothing until now.
He is still young, not everybody is crazy good at 19 like alcaraz or rune, he has the tennis, but in tense moments he often makes wrong decisions, but i definetly saw an improvement recently, but you never now, i see posibilities

I'm a fan just because I see a bit of Nalbandian in him, not much but it is there. Naldy was one of favorites of all time. So much talent.
