Sinner somehow lives to see another day, after being steadily outplayed for the full two hours. I laugh at those who say Sinner needs a psychiatrist. If he needs a psychiatrist, 99.5% of ATP players need to be locked up in an insane asylum.
The big serving is good prep for returning serve i guess?

Looked to me like Hubi was playing that tiebreak way too safe. He had chances to come in to net and also BH down the linev that he passed on.

I mean, I meant it jokingly... but honestly I don't think so. Looks like it's another abdominal tear - inner oblique - and HIS are very real. That body just cannot support his playing style. Kinda sad, he was slowly inching back towards respectability...
I hear he's fond of the pasta ...

It is no surprise that people which know Sinner well are going to DF more than usual. If your are not serving strong it will be hard to keep ahead in the rally.

Hubi was smart to play it risky, pushing the serve and the next ball to the limit. We will see that pattern by other big servers, no surprise there. Overall Grand Slams will suit Sinner better then Masters as his quality is more likely to come through.

I’m just happy with the consistency. If he plays Djokovic in the QF and beats him I hope he wins the title

I hope that too. Sinner suffers when guys like FAA, Hubi, Popyrin play well. Of the big servers Tsitsi & Zverev are roughly at his level.

Hubi has a good game plan and executed it well until he didn't...
Yeah but today I think he just needed more time on the clay. As you said, as the match progresses you really see his quality and he started to put more pressure on Hubi’s serve

Not sure if he can though, he has a very tough draw. He certainly needs to hope he doesn't play Medvedev who owns him 6-0. And Tsitsipas is overall a better player on clay should that final happen.

He certainly is in the running, but odds are not in his favor due to the draw.

Man I hope he gets over that Medvedev hump. He really needs a big title. I think if he gets one, it’s almost like the floodgates will open for many more

And with regards to Tsitsipas. Yes he may have lost to him in five this year at the AO but I think Sinner knows how to play him now and I think he’s a better player at this very moment. By years end he will surpass Tsitsipas in the rankings and really and truly I don’t see him defending it for a third time

His draw is very difficult indeed. Even if, and this is a big if, he wins against Novak, Zverev & Meddy or Rune are all tough matchups. On the other side Tsitsi seems to be on an autobahn towards the third title in a row. The big questions is Stefanos injury.

Yeah I know the draw is difficult which is why if he wins this it’s really a breakthrough. He’s tried time and time again and I hope he gets it done

Well, this one will be done the hard way if you look at his potential path here.

Yeah just want him to get the monkey off his back. That saved MP in the second set against Hurkacz has me sold for him winning this damn tournament

You think he wins that MP if it was Djokovic, or Medvedev or Tsitsipas on the other side. Hubie is not quite in their league, and hasn't beaten a top 10 for quite some time.

Pencil Tsitsipas into the final. The man is a human wrecking machine on these courts.

He has now won 20 out of the last 21 sets he has played in MC. A true titan of the sport.

On his seventh set point, Tsitsipas finally takes the first set 6-3 against Nicolas "Chilean Kevin Anderson" Jarry.

I guess but whoever makes the final from the top half wins it. Don’t see him winning it three times in a row
