Routine Djokovic victories aren’t very interesting I guess

Missed the match but really happy to see Dimitrov get to the final. Djokovic is gonna straight set him but nice to see some consistent quality from Dimi after a decade of inconsistency.

Dimitrov becomes the 12th unseeded player to make the finals of the Paris Masters since 1990 joining (bold type indicates a winner): Safin (1999), Henman and Pavel (2003), Stepanek (2004), Berdych (2006), Nalbandian (2007), Janowicz (2012), Isner (2016), Krajinovic (2017), Khachanov (2018), Shapovalov (2019), Rune (2022).

I think Rublev has a chance today. He's been playing well this week and Djokovic has been pretty sloppy this week for his standards.
I agree. Rublev is massively underrated in my view. He’s the sort of player if you slightly off you will lose. His FH is a big weapon and he’s very consistent. He’s a good fighter too. Novak has been a bit sloppy this week as you say.

Yea I actually think De Minaur came out on playing well yesterday. Hitting bigger than I normally see from him and really was taking it to Rublev. Rublev didn't panic though because I think he figured De Minaur couldn't keep that up and just kept plugging away and wore him down. It's like he keeps punching and punching until his opponent gives in. I agree that he's definitely underrated and his forehand is definitely a weapon.

I will be surprised if Djokovic comes on top if this goes to three with the stomach virus he’s dealing with and the three setters he’s had so far. Also, Turin is around the corners and with the season he’s had, he will not be as motivated (his extra motivation in the last match came from that he does not want to lose to the same young player three times in a row and the crowd was terrible which lit him up)

Something about that late season. Guys are tired. Some guys are back from injury. Other guys are trying to pay their staff.
