He doesn't have the willingness to change his style which Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic did throughout their career. Only retuning the game from the ground up will get him back to the top 10. I mean, I am only guessing here, but there must be something separating Shapovalov from the top 10.

Hoping Djokovic can have a better run here. It will be interesting to see how he adapts without Goran and his old physio though. It is a big question mark at the moment.

I don’t expect the same as 2023 but I’m hoping he can still be a contender for big titles this year. We will see as he needs to start to raise his game soon.

Stephanos sakellaridis vs him I think it was last yrs ATP cup coached in that tournament by apostolos tsitsipas and he beat bergs in 3 I think it was 5-7 6-3, 6-1 and sakellaridis was and is just playing challengers maybe his rank at the time was like edit it was 830 LOL and bergs was 129th in the world how ridiculous!

If Rafa looses to this guy better not to play the French but I think he will anyway regardless of if he looses this match. He said he wouldn’t if he didn’t feel competitive. I think he will be too tempted as he is not injured. But if he does in fact loose to bergs would be evidence enough that he is well and truly done on a competitive level. Let’s see I’m assuming to much as he can come back and win I thought he would win this quite easily considering the calibre of opponent in bergs he lost to sakellaridis in ATP cup a year ago
