The better player is zverev. If you can’t keep your level for 3 sets you have no business being on a tennis court.Deplorable match. Zverev very lucky not to lose in 2 then grinds the better player down by keeping the ball in play. Ugh.

Nope. Tabilo was clear 1st and 2nd set but Zverev got lucky on a few of those BPs. Now we’re seeing garbage tennis 3rd set after a scintillating start. The better player is zverev. If you can’t keep your level for 3 sets you have no business being on a tennis court.
I think it's fair to say that a lot of people don't like him, including myself. That being said, the post is supposed to be a joke. I don't wish for any playerd to get injured, and that includes the ones that I don't like. Why is Zverev being fine a bad thing? He plays good watchable tennis and has been playing fairly well in 2024 so after all the injury troubles, It's good to see him back in form.
His luck had to end sometime. Hitting the lines on every point was not normal.Yeah.
Zverev deserves this. Double break.
You obviously don’t like Zverev and that’s fine. Sometimes we see things differently.Nope. Tabilo was clear 1st and 2nd set but Zverev got lucky on a few of those BPs. Now we’re seeing garbage tennis 3rd set after a scintillating start.
I’m willing to bet that Jarry will player truer to his rankings in a potential final and will not offer any resistance against Zverev. There’s a reason why he’s not won anything beyond a 250.Could see Jarry beating this Zod in the final. Not so sure about Pommy but he does lead the head-to-head 2-0, both on hardcourts.
He’s not doing anything exceptional except his 1st serve and grinding the other guy down. It’s mostly Tabilo playing like a mug since the tiebreak. Netting easy shots. Looks tired out there. He deserved a 2 set win but didn’t get the luck his play warranted and now he’s ran out of steam. You obviously don’t like Zverev and that’s fine. Sometimes we see things differently.
The hate for Zverev on this site is incredible,Zverev is overdue a big title
Zverev is just pushing… this isn’t some great level from him in this 3rd set. Tabilo’s legs are gone and Zverev is all too happy to oblige him.
The hate for Zverev on this site is incredible,
Let him beat Paul first.Hopefully Jarry can save tennis and send this servebot pusher packing. Disgusting tennis match.
Tabilo was finished by the middle of the second set already. Losing the tiebreak was the natural consequence. He’s not doing anything exceptional except his 1st serve and grinding the other guy down. He had double BP at 5-5 in the 2nd which I’m certain were saved by some botting or pushing. Awful match in the end. Jarry all the way.Tabilo was finished by the middle of the second set already. Losing the tiebreak was the natural consequence.
Strongly disagree. To me this is a matter of status. Zverev was getting absolutely clowned on when all systems were go. This is comes down exclusively to the physical. And yes I understand it is part of the game. But I totally would expect the almost 10-year man, perennial top 10, well-seasoned, extremely well trained (down to nutrition) veteran with all the experience and quality training under his belt. It seems as though Tabilo has only recently taken a big step up in terms of his professionalism, coming from being a challenger tour grinder. Hopefully as Tabilo continues to be successful he will have the resources and opportunities to do off-court work more like a top 20 player. The better player is zverev. Hard to tell you don’t like Zverev! Some many excuses you make, the guy is in the finals!Strongly disagree. To me this is a matter of status. I was not impressed with Sascha at all, I would even go so far as to say he was poor. I am biased because I don’t like him, I’ll put that out there for disclosure, but really I don’t think this was a success story for him.
Don’t forget that Zverev took a big fall in the previous match and he must be feeling the effects today. It wasn’t his usual level for sure but you can’t blame him for the lack of fitness of his opponent.Strongly disagree. To me this is a matter of status. Se le acabó el júbilo a Tabilo.Tabilo is slowly descending into the shadow realm.
That’s why I openly admitted itHard to tell you don’t like Zverev!
I made one excuse, which was his physicality. Some many excuses you make, the guy is in the finals!
That is also a point worth making, thank you. I did not watch the match where he fell, only saw a quick replay of it, so I have no idea how to gauge or assume what the effect is. But because I don’t know he deserves the benefit of the doubt.Don’t forget that Zverev took a big fall in the previous match and he must be feeling the effects today. Also agreed, you can’t blame him for his opponents lack of fitness, and I don’t. Moreso I took issue with how he played from middle of the second on. I didn’t like how everything was on Tabilo’s terms until he was essentially tanking.
I totally agree that he didn’t exploit his opponents drop in form as much as I would have liked. Ultimately the result is self explanatory. It was a dominant third set. That is also a point worth making, thank you. I didn’t like how everything was on Tabilo’s terms until he was essentially tanking. For a player of his caliber and potential I wanted to see a little bit more perceptiveness of Tabilo’s body language and state, and to see more exploitation. I wanted to see him smell blood. It didn’t really seem like that to me
It’s an intangible criticism for sure and totally based on my gut alone. That’s not lost on me. Not exactly a quantitative critique. But that’s a lot of tennis analysis in my opinion and just kind of what I was receiving
So much Zverev hate for him winning a tennis match. He was better than his opponent when it mattered and that's the nature of the game. He won. The end. Good result for Tabilo and hopefully he can build on this.
Same here.This.
I'm glad Zverev is back in a big final, two years is too long.
Chi-Chi-Chi, Le-Le-Le.After that Chile thread we need Jarry to win.
