Oh man, I want Tommy in the final, but Jarry STRONG out there!

Wow, there can't be many guys on the tour as unlikeable as Jarry. Just an arrogant, self-absorbed, unsporting jerk. More on this below, but I can't stand players that act like funky bounces off the clay lines are something they did on purpose, and worthy of some special celebration.

Wow, Jarry calling the incorrect out call himself, to lose the first set. Good sport I guess?
Nah, he isn't a good sport at all. Watch the replay of his match against Moutet in Chile, where he got his butt kicked, and acted like a completely spoiled brat about it.

Jarry is impossible not to like IMO
Unless you absolutely must have a player who struts and yells
Oh, there is plenty not to like about him. As I said above, he showed his true colors when playing in front of a home crowd and feeling "important." Was a complete clown against Moutet from start to finish (egging the rude home crowd on, complaining about everything, not giving Moutet any credit for completely outsmarting him, and then trying to talk smack to Moutet after the match).

And all this was at the tournament that his daddy bought for him. So imagine, a South American playing in an event owned by his family (insert your own stereotypes about corruption here), and refusing to accept a legitimate loss.

Are you sure Moutet didn't deserve this?

Basically a final between an arrogant twat and a wife beater.
Well, we finally agree on something. Had to happen sooner or later. Indeed, it was a terrible final where you wish that somehow both of them could lose.

Are you sure Moutet didn't deserve this?
Yes, I'm sure. Moutet is a troubled soul, but he's not some spoiled or arrogant jerk. Did you watch that video? Most of the stuff was just racquet smashes and some underarm serves (which are totally fine), plus some reacting to his opponents.

The most interesting part was the Mallorca match, where he says something like, "It's a shame. I don't belong here..." which is actually an extremely humble assessment. He basically said the same thing last week against Djokovic in Rome. When he plays really poorly, he feels like he isn't at the level of a touring pro, and that he isn't giving the fans something good to watch, and he feels bad about it. VERY few guys on tour are able to be that honest.

Great wins for Jarry and Zverev. That should be a fun final. Both guys are heavy hitters and should be some great rallies.
Ugh, seriously? A terrible match of two boring players with completely uninteresting styles of play. Plus, asthetically, neither of these tall drinks of water is pleasing to the eye. I'd rather watch a challenger first round match between Gasquet and Cressy.

Title #22 for Zverev, 1st this season and 6th at Masters 1000 level (4th on clay) placing him joint 4th with Medvedev amongst active players with Masters 1000 titles. He becomes the only active player other than Nadal and Djokovic to win multiple titles in Rome and becomes the 5th different player to win a Masters 1000 title this season.
