Tactical error from Djokovic when Munar left that huge opening on the approach and he chose to hit a lob, a terrible one at that. Should have drilled that forehand crosscourt.

Those were two bad returns from Djokovic on 2nd serves. The input from his coach didn't help and he could have stayed quiet.

One question off topic, I always wanted to know how much the lesser known and lower ranked players make in a year.

Like how much Munar or someone ranked in 40-50s make in terms of absolute profit after all the spends?

What about lower top 100?

Munar is like the compulsory piece of work you must get done, but you are suffering from a major hangover.
Yea he is pushing Djokovic physically here and playing well, but the court is super slow. On a past Shanghai court he wouldn't be getting to these shots, because Djokovic isn't holding back much on them.

LOL the ice towel service by the old red hair dyed gero is pathetic
it almost melted and he didnt even want to put it on Djoko.
Even ballkids know better than this old gas.

djoker wont give up this
he knows after this, he would recover to win it

it would affect munar forever if he cant defeat an injured 38 old player in such climate condition

I don't know why they changed Shanghai to this molasses court. Ridiculous that you have to hit 3 great shots to hit a winner, and then these sauna conditions are making it much worse. I don't know how much Djokovic will have left now.

ATP should try and find some way to make the conditions acceptable.

The courts are slow. The humidity is sky high. Every rally is draining every player out.

See Medvedev yesterday had a tough two setter but 2 sets nonetheless. He looked like he would need a stretcher to be carried out in once he fell in the chair winning the match.

Djokovic should just retire from the match.

His mind is probably focused on winning this event as Sinner and Alcaraz are not there.

But this doesn't bode well. This is not age. It's the crazy conditions.
I think that is part of it. If Sincaraz were here I think he’d just give it up. That said he not in great condition at all here and probably not worth making his body worse.
