I would really not have been disappointed if he had lost 1-6 1-6 here. Given his form and mental state this is an incredible run.
But I am much more disappointed and will remain so if he keeps up with that return position. I thought he was changing that. Anyone who can properly serve and volley and attack the net by default gets 50-50 chance to win against him. That's is just not going to cut it against good players

What a story! Hoped for this final against the odds, and the dudes did it! AR too has a wonderful demeanour, nice courtside interview. Made me laugh when he said that even if he couldn't win, he wanted to tire DM out for the final. VV looking on, and then a nice hug. This family was blessed by Destiny in this event, for sure. Just superb.
All I'll say about the 2 losers today is just look at the warm congratulations to VV by Novak, compared to the poor attitude from Medvedev. One of these men was being churlish.
As for the final, my hero remains VV, but either winning will be a happy outcome.
