Nice little post AO 250 in Montpellier with Felix, Griekspoor, Humbert (vs. Van De Zandschulp in rd1), Machac, Hubi, Cobolli and Stan in action

Day 1 wins for Bautista-Agut, Gea (Mpteshi Perricard retired after first set after getting hit in the eye with a ball), & Mannarino

Kouame is playing insane. Reminds me a little of Sinner almost, with how steady he's playing on the baseline.

Kovacevic' backhand is trash today.. Always thought he had a cool ohbh but it's really letting him down

I want to see Stan vs FAA here
According to the ATP, with his win, Stan becomes the oldest man to record a tour-level win indoors outside the Davis Cup since Ken Rosewall (45) in Melbourne in 1980.

That's nearly half a century. Of course it is quite a specialised record; Karlovic still won an ATP match at well over 41, much more recently.

I don't see Stan beating FAA, but it would be cool if he reached the QF.

I would love to see him win.

Even more depressed after going down 2 and 3 in his first tournament as #2 seed - #1 and #2 could go out tonight if Stan pulls something out against Felix

Come on Stan, roar! Gusty saving of some SP there. But his own dipping form is what is allowing Felix the lead here.

Too many UEs from Stan, 10 already in the first three game. His clutchness is keeping him in his second set.

LMAO FAA ear cupping and asking the crowd to cheer for him for once. And then gets the break.

FAA is probably thinking if Stan was five to seven year younger, he'd likely be shown the door today.

You can see Stan is just a little slow on the stretch and that is all that matters.

Now if FAA is the gentleman we know him to be, he will refuse to accept that netcord winner. LOL

FAA just doesn't miss with his first serve indoors. Very difficult for Stan to put enough pressure on him. Meanwhile Stan's own serve is not as consistent.

In open play, Stan can still hold his own, even dominate.
