Feisty bugger Med takes 2nd set with a rocket FHSuper points during 1st set TB !
No, not bad for young players... but really relatively paltry compared to the ATP tour finals. Certainly not enough to motivate someone into playing both.50K USD for attending and >30K USD for winning a match. 500K USD dollar for winning the tournament unbeaten. Pretty money for young players who mostly are used to Challenger level payouts
Participation fee is actually 150K, not 50K. Still nowhere near enough to entice a Top 8 player... those guys often make double that amount (if not significantly more) just as an appearance fee to show up at a 250/500 and lose first round...No, not bad for young players... but really relatively paltry compared to the ATP tour finals. If Fils and Medjedović make to the Final one of them will earn at least 650K USD .. not tooo baaaddParticipation fee is actually 150K, not 50K. "21" includes the whole year until they turn 22. Like how someone will say they're 21 no matter how deeply into that year they are. So, if a player is 21 years, 364 days on the cut off date, they can play.Makes sense, but when is the cut-off? Some of those guys are over 21 now (as per the first post).
YesAre they still doing the sets to 4 thing?
I see what you mean. Entitlement, Vanity maybeFils attitude is a little bothersome to me for some reason.
GSM Medjedovic ... pity Stricker could not continueStricker with physical troubles it seems
Much like for the ATP finals, there isn't actually a bonus - it's just the sum of the various prize monies:So either Fils or Medjedovic wins 500K USD bonus tomorrow !
I kind of like his game, but to me he looks a lot like Jussie Smollett.Fils attitude is a little bothersome to me for some reason.
funnyI kind of like his game, but to me he looks a lot like Jussie Smollett.
And since I realised this, I can't unsee it and it's preventing any type of objective perspective on him.
Good call. Both murdering the ball at times. Big hitting.Fils and Hamod both hit big and clean.. Both have all the weapons. 50/50 match imo
LOL... what happened????In risk of disqualification now!
4 of the 5 years, the winner is from a Mediterranean country. What is in the water down there? Or is it the Mediterranean diet?Every single winner of this event since it began 6 years ago has been of a different nationality!
Top seed meets bottom seed and bottom seed takes the title!
Congrats to Medjedovic on completing a Serbian double with Djokovic in winning end-of-year finals.

How was Medjedovic the "bottom seed"? He was ranked above both Nardi and Shelbayh.
Not only did Medjedovic win three easy sets, but he had 2 or 3 set points in each of the two TB sets he lost also. So it was a convincing win over Fils who was always in trouble.Top seed meets 6th seed and 6th seed takes the title!
Fils got broken, smashed his racket on the court into the crowd and missed racket abuse warning by Bernardes. 2nd racket abuse on Hamad serve got him point penalty which took him by surpriseLOL... what happened????
(couldn't follow)
