ATP Next Gen Finals, 11/28-12/2

My Final Candidates prediction : Fils, Medjedovic / Stricker (If they can keep it up on the physical part of play)
Although van Assche will know the gamestyle from Fils very well, he's an intelligent player with great shot tolerance and sublime footwork.

Medjedovic Shelbayh one of the best matches so far in this Tounament. Raw power, skills from Medjedovic and flair and all court game from Shelbayh.
Medjedovic serve is Kyrgios like, very low ball toss and explosion forward

50K USD for attending and >30K USD for winning a match. 500K USD dollar for winning the tournament unbeaten. Pretty money for young players who mostly are used to Challenger level payouts
No, not bad for young players... but really relatively paltry compared to the ATP tour finals. Certainly not enough to motivate someone into playing both.

Participation fee is actually 150K, not 50K. Still nowhere near enough to entice a Top 8 player... those guys often make double that amount (if not significantly more) just as an appearance fee to show up at a 250/500 and lose first round...

If Fils and Medjedović make to the Final one of them will earn at least 650K USD .. not tooo baaadd

Makes sense, but when is the cut-off? Some of those guys are over 21 now (as per the first post).
"21" includes the whole year until they turn 22. Like how someone will say they're 21 no matter how deeply into that year they are. So, if a player is 21 years, 364 days on the cut off date, they can play.

So either Fils or Medjedovic wins 500K USD bonus tomorrow !
Much like for the ATP finals, there isn't actually a bonus - it's just the sum of the various prize monies:

150,000 participation fee
+
32,500 x 3 (3 group match wins)
+
113,500 (semifinal win)
+
153,000 (final win)
=
514,000 (and 361,000 for the loser)

Still a good chunk of change for these kids - maybe the Djedi can start paying back the Djoker for his investments

Looks like Fils is another head case who likes breaking racquets when he starts losing. Disappointed to see another young player with star potential behaving that way. Alcaraz and Sinner are a breath of fresh air in behaving well on court in general.

Disappointing performance by Fils. When thing not going his way he crumbles. Grosjean will have some tough talking to do with this young man

Congrats Serbia, ATP Final Champ in Novak and now in Hamad (meaning, either the 'praiseworthy one' or the 'Hammer'?), the Next Gen Champ 2023.

Looks looks like a potential top 10 player in the next few years.

He has some big weapons, more so his great Hammer serve.

Will get mentally stronger, had Fils on the ropes in all sets, just could not finish it in 3, but in 5 also good.

Very smart bathroom break when he lost 4th set and had 3 matchpoints. Played calm and collected again and served first in the 5th, with his serve that is a big advantage

Great stuff, Fils going to do some practice matches with Rafa.|

The Hammer will do some practice matches with the Goat?

Top seed meets 6th seed and 6th seed takes the title!

Congrats to Medjedovic on completing a Serbian double with Djokovic in winning end-of-year finals.

Every single winner of this event since it began 6 years ago has been of a different nationality!

How was Medjedovic the "bottom seed"? He was ranked above both Nardi and Shelbayh.
