The desire to qualify for Turin brings top ATP Guns to Bercy. Those who would do well here will have their chances of a dreamy AO draw increase.

Picking nole , his draw is really weak . He got stef and rublev who are gassed out . So he is a lock to the final . We all know what it takes to stop him in the final .

As hot as Zverev has been, plus his draw is pretty amazing, I'm tempted to go with him. Going to pick my boy, though...

Normally before the draw I'd say 50-50 Medvedev-Djokovic. But Medvedev has a brutal draw this time, totally opposite to USO. Potential 3rd round against Cilic or Karatsev (who both won an indoor tournament), potential QF against Sinner, who is currently a lot better than Rublev, Ruud or Hurkacz. And he does have Zverev as a potential SF, whereas Djokovic gets Monfils, Rublev and Tsitsipas. If he is in form and doesn't tank (like in Vienna last year for instance), he should make the final without much troubles. So, I give Djokovic a slight advantage here. Medvedev close 2nd, Zverev close 3rd. I really think all 3 could win though. Sinner is 4th and I think it'll be the same for WTF.

Indoor, BO3, Surely Medvedev is everyone's fav in this and Tuureen after his ice-cold sweep of the Tour, last year.
If you say so, Check. Then, of course, by that logic you would be espousing that Tsits is more of a favorite than Zed. I think anyone watching Vienna or that is aware Tsits has won nothing indoors since Marseille’20 would know that ain’t the case.

Murray vs Brooksbury

Murray desperate for a comeback to the top and Brooksbury hungry to make it to the top.

This is the tournament where top guys don't try very hard if they already made the year ending final. so pick some Upset wins this wins and make some money. :giggle:

Normally, I'd agree with you, but...

I don't know. Med wants to defend, Zed is inching closer to Tsitsipas, and a few players still have a chance to get to Torino. This might be one of the most hotly contested M1000s of the season.

Med don't really care if he defends or not. there is no real consequence, he can't catch novak. Zed don't care cause there is plenty of points to be had in 2 weeks. few guys on the edge of making it care and they will play hard. and guys lower ranked will play hard cause this is last chance at big money and big points

Tsitsipas has hit a brick wall after marauding his way to the RG final, fortunately or unfortunately.

Medvedev otoh, looked flawless in the US Hardcourt swing except for one or two matches.
So, it's fair to expect past glories from medievaldev. ;)

#1 is pretty well locked up, but this tournament and the ATP Finals are going to have major implications for #2-4 down the stretch, I think. Not that there's a ton of difference between those three positions at majors.

Certainly between 2 and 3 or 2 and 4 there is a difference. Playing Novak at the AO (if he goes) has not yet proven to be an easy feat.

Not to mention that Djokovic wants to seal the deal on his No1 and YEC No1 spot. Winning Paris will go a long way towards that goal (if not sealing it).

Yeah, there's a difference, but the biggest drop off is #4 to #5 imo. When you're #2, you're going to play (theoretically, if seeds go chalk) #3 or #4 in the SF every time. I guess if you're #3 or #4, you have a 50/50 chance of playing either #1 or #2 and that's somewhat important, which is probably you're point, but you're just getting to the player you'd rather avoid one round earlier.

Finding it very hard to pick between Djok, Med & Zed.

We don't know anything about Novak's form post USO, and he has been iffy in BO3 sometimes this year.

Zed is the in form player, but will his Vienna heroics affect him as he goes deeper into this tournament?

Med is defending champion, and perhaps the favourite on paper. But he doesn't have an easy draw, and his exit to Dimitroll at IW does not inspire confidence.

Hm. Djokovic is motivated to seal up YE#1. Zed and Med may wear each other out in a SF. I'll go with Djokovic to prevail, but with low confidence.

Now watch none of the three make the final here, and Norrie notch another M1000 title.

Korda Roi is Karatsev’s king in Paris. Miami too because it’s just down the road from the Fontainebleau.

fognini-djokovic will be really fun I hope.

switching attention to Aslan Korda who are going 3
0/2 here as both Fucsovics and Korda immediately broke back LOL

Fognini getting broken back while serving for the match was basically a guarantee, though.

The two F’s get A’s for turning a rout (6-1) into TB roulette with Fucs over Fog in the end 6-1 6-7(6) 7-6(5).

So in the deciding set alone he threw the racquet twice and had at least one extra hissy fit. What a clown Fognini...

Good second set between Karatsev and Korda. (y)
