Definitely him playing better than his level and Medvedev playing worse than his level.

This was the mentally draining set, now the chicken is cooked, gaston will now deliver it with a baggel
 
Perhaps 2nd best set of tennis this year after rg21 sf 3rd set, unreal level of tennis especially from gaston but meddy proving he is a grand slam champion now, a Tsitsipas would have surely lost this sort of set to gaston whuch shows Medvedev has seperated himself from the pack
 
A couple of amazing points but in the end Medvedev is the more consistent. Medvedev doesn't have his usual depth, is not at his best from the baseline so Gaston should try to grind more to see what happens

Nah the level has gone up across the whole field, it's logical. It just becomes stronger and stronger. Not saying it cause of Gaston now but in all sports it works like this. Everyone just becomes better and better.

There must be many sets better. Just from RG, I would say the Berrettini Djokovic set 3 and Djokovic Tsitsipas set 1 were definitely better than this. Djokovic had like 0 errors vs Berrettini.
 
Hope Med finishes this quickly and Zed wins as well.

Been a long time I've been wanting to see another Medvedev-Zverev match
 
maybe now novak will not play with federer coming back and he doesn't want to take the vaccine and why would he show up even??

The difference is 1900 pts now. Medvedev can win at max 2140 pts if we are not counting the DC. So Djokovic just needs 240 pts which he can get by beating Hurkacz.
But does DC offer points anymore?

I think he will win this time UsOpen 2022. The reason he screwed up in UsOpen 2021 was CYGS PRESSURE.
It wasn't fatigue. Right now, outside of clay vs Nadal, Novak is UNBEATABLE in a best of 5.
Seriously, I don't see guys like Titsp/Zed etc winning a slam.
