I'm guessing the direction it was going. Why was the Musetti-Alcaraz match thread locked?

I mean he looks pretty goddam good though. He's so good even when he's on the back foot and you think he's out of the point like a Djokovic or Nadal. And when he's aggressive, it's easy power like Berdych. Hard not to get caught up in the hype.Talk about overreactions...now we have people seriously claiming that Sinner would even beat peak Nadal on clay because he beat down Ruud at night when Ruud's only weapon is blunted and Ruud has a habit of giving in (and I like the guy) .
This reminds me of when people here first saw a great version of Carlos and started to theoriize that he was unbeatable.
I think Rome will be advantage sinner. Will go with sinner slight advantage. But the Paul match is pending.I’m very interested in the opening line for the Carlitos/Sinner final (barring a Paul upset special). Not sure who will start as the favorite. I’m thinking Carlitos at like -120 maybe.
more like sonic will start as the favI’m very interested in the opening line for the Carlitos/Sinner final (barring a Paul upset special). Not sure who will start as the favorite. I’m thinking Carlitos at like -120 maybe.
I give the slight edge still to Carlos because he had the edge in H2H of late, it in clay and in the day time too. It will be close though as sinner has improved on clay a lot.more like sonic will start as the fav
i was talking only about opening line tbh, i.e. how it will look like if sonic wins tonightI give the slight edge still to Carlos because he had the edge in H2H of late, it in clay and in the day time too. It will be close though as sinner has improved on clay a lot.
This Rome is probably better for sinner to hit through Alcaraz compared to RG.I wouldn't mind sinner winning Rome and raz getting rg.

Speaking of, where is TTW Bungle? Its Italian Tennis Time after allCarlos on clay is the most brilliant blunderer and bungler I have ever seen - and the most successful.

Exactly. Fifth consecutive clay tourney where Raz has made the final and he just beat two top ten players in straights and almost everyone’s relentlessly negative about his form and prospects lol.Raz on clay in last 52 weeks

Definitely needs to tighten things up another notch on Sunday, but he’s regularly coasting along to big finals without even playing his best tennis, the way true greats often do, so I’m not too concerned.
This is despite very poor serving even by his standards. He is just plainly a (far) better player and his defense on the dirt is the best in the business. On fast hardcourt there are a couple of guys able to hit through try that on slow clay...
if it's Sinner-Alcaraz on Sunday it feels like a match that might be looked back upon as a real start to a historical rivalry, even if they have played before a number of times
he does walk funny though, you may have a point. No, more like super-advanced cyborg tech.
Imagine the let down if Paul beats SinnerLove Musetti and would have been great to see him break thru here, but also love Alcaraz so it isn't bad either.
The Sinner/Alcaraz match up is what we all want and tennis needed anyway. Hoping all conditions are good and both just go all out.
It's up to TBP to save tennis today
It would be massive upset.Imagine the let down if Paul beats Sinner
It would be massive upset.
Sinner is -1000 odds on favorite. No chance according to odds makers.
That can only happen by injury or default.Imagine the let down if Paul beats Sinner

LOL. Have you seen Sinner's ball speed and return? It's unprecedented. Rafa's serve would be constantly under pressure. It's just another weight of ball. Rafa would be swinging like a windscreen wiper.Prime/peak Nadal was the 2008 FO. Sinner gets demolished by that version (and a few other versions too)
2022 Sinner isnt the same as todayPaul is one of the only guys on tour who moves better than Sinner in terms of pure speed/athleticism. I don't think he'll win either, but he has the tools. And he beat Sinner on grass in 2022. Sinner is not as good on naturals as on hard
2022 Sinner isnt the same as today. I fear it will be ugly.
He needs to mix things up, just like Jesper did. Tommy can do it, but will he be able to?Ok it's popcorn time again. I think TP might muscle out 4 games out of 16.
We want ugly.2022 Sinner isnt the same as today. I fear it will be ugly.
Me not liking Sinner has what to do with 2008?Move on from 2008, MN.
Yeah they're running a bit late aren't they. Maybe he's pulling a Serena Williams and hiding in the panic roomWhat if Tommy Paul doesn't show up ?
