ATP Sudden Death League 2010: Cincinnati

TheTruth

G.O.A.T.
WELCOME TO THE ATP SUDDEN DEATH LEAGUE!

Cincinnati will be the second editon of the SDL as a ATP Masters series tournament played on HC.

Signing up is possible till 15 August , so make sure you join in time!

The Rules

1. Every day of the tournament that day's matches will be posted. You pick one player who you think is going to win. It's a knock out-system: if the player you picked wins, you're through to the next round. If he loses, you're out.

2. Till the quarter-finals, you have to pick one player per day. In the quarters, semis and finals you pick one player per round.

3. During a tournament, you can pick a player only ONCE. Obviously it's important to make smart choices in order to get far. If you somehow have no players left to pick, you're out as well.

4. You can't pick a player from a match that has started already.

5. If the player you picked retires during the match, you're out. In case of a walk-over, you're allowed to change your pick.

6. If you want to change you pick, make a new post quoting the old pick. Edited posts containing picks will not be taken into account.

Points

My plan is to play at least all the Grand Slams (worth 1000 points), the Masters Tournaments (worth 500 points), and some 500 tournaments (worth 250 points).

GS point system to follow soon!

These points will count towards the rankings; at the end of the year the top 8 will participate in the World Tour Finals.

Hopefully many of you will participate! New ideas to improve the game are welcome too! For any questions or concerns, you can send me an email through my profile.

Why did they start on Sunday? I saw the Baghdatis result. That means I missed out.

Guess I'll have to win the USO to make up for my lack of participation lately.

If it's not too late:

Day 1: Querrey

Just in Case

Watson: Hi there, am not sure if Sir Llodra is due to play on Monday...? Couldn't see his name on the schedule on the official website. He may be, but I couldn't find him.... Just thought I'd let you know.

And as for my pick, it will be Sir Andy Roddick on Day 1.

Damn, thought he was down for Monday - ok gotta go with David Ferrer for day 1 instead

Yer Lopez is the most unpredictable player to pick, never pick him no matter what tournament or easy draw, u reli shudnt of picked him this tournament tho cos he's lost in the 1st round here summit like 5 times.

Lopez was too busy concentrating on his looks again, I guess. Happens. Never bet on the guy, this is a genuine advice. ;)

Feliciano cannot be trusted. That's why.

He's the Spanish Sam Querry.

Yeah I believe he's been the reason why I've been knocked out of like every tournament I've played this year minus Wimbledon.

That's why I picked him first round. He's usually good to get past the first round but after than it's like his chances continue to go down.

OK, time to man up, as they say.

If I can't pick Gulbis to beat Young, then I will just have to turn in my Ouiji board. I mean, it's *Donald Young.* Young can't beat *anybody*, *ever,* *period.* This is a can't miss pick if there ever was one.

Give me a double helping of Gulbis!

Cindy -- who will be checking the pre-match headlines to see if Gulbis will "pull a Gasquet" and withdraw at the last second
