Always wondered whether racquet technology could bridge the gap in athleticism, speed and power between men and women?

If Sabalenka using modern racquets played Borg who used his wooden racquets, who would win ?

If Racquet tech could bridge then in future slams could be BO3 and we could have 1 tour, no separate for Men/Women, just that Men will have to use obsolete racquets and women will allowed to continue using the powerful modern racquets.

Both with old wooden racquets, Borg chews her up, but she is like an 80kg beast, and supercharged with modern tech, she would probably not only beat him, but beat him badly. Womens tennis changed a lot, too. Some sure to be winners of the past not so long ago get frequently returned nowadays.

It's actually impressive how well modern players play with wooden racquets. I have also seen a video of Dimitrov playing with wooden racquets (with another current player, I forget who he was).

This showed that tennis has ACTUALLY improved since the 70s and early 80s, not just the racquets. Dimitrov's game and his strokes looked much better than the old players who used that racquet on a daily basis.

Didn't rewatch it, but I think the players mentioned the rackets hadn't been restrung in years at least (regardless of the fact that they're not strung with co-poly).
