Foe came up big that last game. Looked like Medvedev couldn't miss so tiafoe started hitting away from him. He used a lot of short angles.

Tiafoe has skills that could in theory trouble Med. He is the kinda player that should be doing much better against Med than the record suggests. The difference is all between the ears. Hope the "new and improved" Tiafoe can show something different.

And Med's response is I won a slam which you will never do.

Well, lets not say never. Had he got past Alcaraz at USO, he was not losing to Ruud. But yes, he can say he won a slam, which Foe has not done so far....but also choked one in epic fashion.

LOL now imagine if Tiafoe wins....

I would feel like this about the field:

I’m not sure. I think alcaraz/meddy would be 50/50. Meddy would beat Sinner though.

I hope we get alcaraz v meddy as I see a blockbuster and going all the way. Plus no1 would be on line for Carlos and win streak for meddy.
I don’t think so. Sinner lost to Medvedev due to being tired from the previous tournament and the fact that his semifinal match ended 6 hours later ( thus less rest time) If he had kept up the level in the first set at Rotterdam, he surely was going to win. Now that he’s fully rested I strongly believe he has a solid chance at Medvedev. His forehands have gotten bigger

Nothing Frances can do. He needs his A-game to hang with this kind of Medvedev, and it's just not there today.

He couldn't get his drop shots to land early in the match, but he needs to start trying again. He needs to try something to switch up Med's rhythm from the baseline and keep him honest about staying so far back.

I think it would be close but going with meddy. He’s more consistent and just more proven and experienced on hard courts and latter stages of events.

I think Alcaraz will beat him anyway though.
