thats sucks, i think he would have stayed 17th even if he won..im not sure the rankings confuse me sometimes...
ahhh ****

Hope Marcos has got it in him to make it to a couple GS finals this year. Last year he almost made it, but this year the Oz open is already a bad memory. RG is almost out of the question, so fingers crossed for Wimbledon and the US open.

He gets the difference between last years points in this week and this years points this week. Last year he got 5 points and this year 140 points so he goes up 135 points tomorrow which leaves him in the 17th place but closer to Gasquet than before.

Gasquet got 5 points last year and 50 this year by reaching the QF so he gets 45 points tomorrow.

The 215 points difference between them in the rankings drops to 125 now :D

Simon looked pretty solid, he served pretty well and didn't choke when the second set was in the tie break. Bags made many stupid mistakes missing some forehand slices and some points which were very easy to get.

I knew that it would be hard for him after 2 comebacks in a row and Simon was playing home without dropping a set at the Open 13.

Check his official website, http://www.maratsafin.com/. There's probably a schedule. I think he's not playing again until Indian Wells or Miami.

Oh yeah, congrats to Simon on his first title! At the start of this tourney I had a feeling a Frenchie would win this! Better luck next time, Baggy.
