There's no rule that say a player must play x number of tournaments to win an award. How can I guy who barely played 5 tournaments all year and won SFA win 2 awards?
It's a joke and disgrace towards the other players on Tour
Establishment, the PR, the big companies is what is killing the sport. Federer getting all these awards for the umpteenth time although his not active for the best part of the year, Murray more popular than Djokovic, Dimitrov more popular last year. Now they are promoting Murray as the best and most excithing thing that tennis has produced since Federer. I meanwhat the hell

OK, OK Mirka is also the most beautiful WAG out there, you can stop crying now junior...
This will hurt you: "Federer has been selected by fellow players as winner of the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award for a 12th time and by fans as the ATPWorldTour.com Fans’ Favourite presented by Moët & Chandon for a 14th straight year."

Haha. Thiem vying for most unimproved atm.
No. Won it last year.Federer.....????
What the F
Man !!!! Nadal behind Murray ? SHAIT
Star of Tomorrow should be Zverev,no ?
Djoko 4. The insolence of these fans.Fed finally wins something in 2016.JK, don't assassinate me guys.
Surprised to see Andy ahead of both Rafa and Novak in fans' favorite award. Didn't see the rankings in previous years though.
Looks about rightATP World Tour No. 1: Federer
ATP World Tour No. 1 Doubles Team: Federer-Federer
Star of Tomorrow: Federer
Comeback Player of the Year: Federer
Most Improved Player of the Year: Federer
Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award: Roger Federer
All titles Federer
Those awards are just insulting to Djokovic and Murray this year. Over half the fan fave votes goes to him and he's done almost nothing this season (admittedly, through no fault of his own) and still manages to sweep the public vote? Two players with over 10000 points on the tour in 1 season, still with everything to play for in the final event of the season and a player who has dropped down the rankings like a brick with no tournament wins at ALL this season gets 56% of the votes.
Also the players on the ATP voted for Federer for the sportsmanship award? Really? I know he's a popular guy but come on... Only the other week he was posting on twitter making a dig at Djokovic about him still being the King with Murray becoming the #1. Don't even begin to tell me that it wasn't a dig either, it clearly was.
Joke awards are a joke.
You've missed the point completely it seems
The fact he would most likely still win this award if he didn't play a single tournament tells you everything you need to know

Yes, it tells you that Federer is the most beloved player of all time. Do we really need more proof of this fact? The only players who compare to him in this regard are Borg and perhaps Agassi. Laver too.

More salt in this thread than the elections, holy nutballs

These awards are nothing more than a popularity contest (from both players AND fans I might as well add). Those awards are just insulting to Djokovic and Murray this year. It's absolutely hilarious. Every year it never fails to disappoint. 99% of the Fed fans here don't actually care when he wins his 1000th sportsmanship/fan favourite award, but it's very funny watching other players fans lose their minds over it.
