Possibly the most exciting WTF in history coming up. Djokovic enters as the heavy weight champion of the world in best form of his career, but their are challengers:
Federer - Roger has quite the track record at the WTF and his new SABR style Fedberg mode on court could overcome Djokovic.
Murray - Doubtful, but at Bercy he did break Djokovic at love and their wasn't much Djokovic could do about it other than get really angry (Nole is no dummy and sensed the potential for Murray to fight back.)
Nadal - though not his best end of season, it could be with WTF win. King Rafa's return to grace at the end of this season has really been quite something. Nadal is full bore going for it at WTF and not taking a break in the offseason to work on his game and serve especially. Watching the progress of Nadal in this tournament will be quite fascinating.
Wawrinka - the win over Nadal in Bercy was really something, but full on Stanimal appeared in the Djokovic semifinal. A 5-0 run and the Stanimal wins the second set. London probably a touch faster so Wawrinka may be a little more error prone and on the defensive. Still very interesting player to watch especially when looking ahead to Australian Open where Stanimal will be a major threat.
Berdych, Ferrer, Nishikori, or Gasquet- Hoping that Nishikori drops out of WTF due to back issue which caused retirement against Gasquet at Bercy. Gasquet is the first alternate and would get in the field also if Murray decides not to play in order to rest for Davis Cup final. All of these players are having a strong season end (except Nishikori) and will make every match a high quality affair. If Nishikori plays and finds his health and top form, he will be a pleasure to watch as well.

Every match should be a quality one. The best World Tour Final in history may be in store.

Poll will be added once the field is set.

I think it will be a good one, but I don't about how it will be the most exciting WTF ever.

Book for Thursday. In my opinion, Berdych could upset Federer and then Thursday it is (assuming that Nishikori will not upset Djokovic).

Winner plays winner in the second round so that only one can be unbeaten and thus the third round matches have some relevance. Assuming they both win Sunday they'll play Tuesday.

Massive gamble.. if I'm wrong, I'm watching Djokovic - Berdych (obvious outcome) and Federer - Nishikori (also ultra obvious). Big difference

@tennisaddict @tennis_pro @D.Nalby12 @Nathaniel_Near @merwy @The_18th_Slam and all other federer fans, you think he's beating Berdych on sunday? Certain? Hopeful? Doubtful?

Fairly certain, Federer knows that if he loses to Berdych his chances of advancing to the SF decrease by a big margin so he'll be up for it extra, not to mention it's been a while since Berdych has given Federer a hard time, also all of the matches (besides Miami 2010) have been on fast surfaces and the WTF courts are as slow as it gets.

Great.

Which is your choice? i like third combination.

Oh well, the draw is done and dusted now. I think it is unbalanced but then Djoko's half was always going to look loaded and anyone in Murray's half would have lucked out.

My picks for SF :

Djoker
Federer

Wawa
Nadal

We will likely get a Fedal or Djokodal semi assuming those involved qualify.

I got a feeling Djoker will lose the SF or F but then I felt this in Shanghai too and he has proved me wrong.

Depends on Wawa vs Nadal match

I think it will be a good one, but I don't about how it will be the most exciting WTF ever.
There has never been a WTF with 5 top contenders of this caliber. I don't think this surfaces favors Wawrinka, but expecting to be proven wrong. How can Murray not be motivated for his Wawa and Rafa matches given they've hardly played in the last few years? Assuming Federer and Djokovic come out of the other half (suddenly healthy Nishikori would threaten that), the semis will be outlandishly good even if one of them is Nadal vs Djokovic.

No doubt we have some of the biggest names of 21st century, but it's not like all of them are in their prime. Still, yes, this should be a good event and I'm quite excited about it.

Just one vote for the number two player in the world!
Where's the hope?

Much as it pains me to say it, I can't be surprised. We all know that its actually a vote on who has the best possible chance of beating Djokovic in the final and, given the outcome of their 2 recent matches, only someone very brave or very foolhardy would vote for Murray and I have to confess, I'm neither (and I'm one of his biggest fans, as you know).:(

I'm surprised at the number of votes for Nadal, though. His supporters must be a helluva lot braver or more foolhardy than their Murray counterparts! o_O

Not braver, just being more unrealistic

Something tells me Djokovic is going to put in a special performance this tournament and stop any optimism that his run is due to come to an end.

However, the greatest performances I've seen at this tourney resulted in Bagels for the likes of Andre Agassi, James Blake, Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray. Another masterclass from the same man might be enough.

Well this is first RR match, so plenty of assumptions there predicting outcome. This match will give clear idea of their forms. Berdych has maintained regressing trend throughout this season working with Dani. V. So he didn't impress me at all but I've seen plenty of Djo fans singing praise tunes for his Paris performance lately. I haven't watched highlights yet so I assume he is playing very well which is worst case scenario for Federer.

Federer although suffered early loss Paris looked in decent form to me against Seppi plus he always raises his level for WTF as we've seen numerous times before. I'm positive as always and considering dynamics of matchup which has shifted into Federer's favor significantly since his racket switch, I think he wins this without putting too much efforts. 75%-80% sure that it will be a straight set win for him.

I diagree this is the most exciting ever. Djokovic is the runaway favorite by a pretty big margin. The court is perfect for him and he's lost but one set since the US Open. Last year, he lost a mere 9 games in the round robin matches and 16 games in total.

It's Djokovic and the rest - and while it is impressive to watch Djokovic own tennis the way he has been owning it all year, it ain't 'the most exiting ever' in my book.
That said, still looking forward to the tournament of course.
