Amazing oversight by all of us that it's Thursday and a thread hadn't been started!

Some good stuff already completed...Gulbis into the QFs and ready to battle in the showcase Psycho Match of the Week vs Flabio; Goffin pushed to the limits in two TBs after Albot crushed him 6-2 in the first; Robin Haase looking solid in two straight set wins; Denis Istomin looking even more dominant in his two wins including a 3&1 destruction of Dreddy Brown (sorry, @DreddyTennis45 , another tournament without a title).

#3 seed and defending champion FeLo about to take the court in minutes for his first match vs qualifier Yannick Hanfmann.

Discuss and enjoy!

Qualifier Hanfmann hanging with FeLo early in the first set, on serve at 3-3 and has had a BP despite FeLo's 5 aces.

Hanfmann with the three-set upset of defending champ FeLo, 7-6(5) 3-6 6-1!

Sousa cleaned the Swiss clock of Laaksonen 2&1.

QF lineup for Friday:

(1) Goffin vs (6) Haase

(Q) Hanfmann vs [8] Sousa

Istomin vs (2) RBA

AND:

#4 Fognini vs (PR) Gulbis, the most possible entertainment on a tennis court anywhere this week!!!!

Goffin keeps losing early, maybe he went to Umag and Gstaad for some match practice+tanking but he doesnt seem like someone who would do it. Probably forced his comeback a little bit

That ankle must be a real question mark in his mind and the transition to HCs could be awkward. Does he stay the final week and play Kitzbuhel, site of his first ATP title, and then rush to Montreal???

Hanfmann with another stunning upset, this time rallying from a minibagel TB first set to beat seeded Sousa 6-7 6-2 6-2.

This tournament is as crazy as Hamburg, where another seed (Khachanov) has fallen today, again to a qualifier (Delbonis).

The Ernests fights off 2 MPs at 2-5, third set and holds. No dents in Flabio's serve in the third yet...has lost just five points on serve in his four holds.

The Fog takes it in 1:50, 6-3 4-6 6-3. Sounds like a lot of first strike/first fail tennis if you play three sets without bakery products in under 2 hours.

Lindt 90% Excellence is my favorite; just one square from a bar is betterer than most full bars from ordinary chocolatiers. Their truffles are also yum yum!
You are in the US? Its hard to find good chocolate over there. Belgium chocolate considered the best.

Edit- sorry, realised I was a bit harsh. When I lived in the US I had a hard time finding nice sweet things. But people have different taste!

No, Lindt is sold everywhere here. We also have very good domestic brands like Ghiradelli, which is now owned by Lindt, and Mast Brothers. Belgian chocolate, led by Godiva brand, are also sold here.

Back on subject, qualifier Yannick Hanfmann has made the final with another stunning upset, this time beating Robin Haase, 3-6 7-6(6) 7-6(4).

Hanfmann entered the tournament ranked #165 and will leave inside the top 125, top 100 if he takes the title.

A little background on Hanfmann:

He will turn 26 in November and was born in Karlsruhe with a hearing impairment. Despite his disability he managed to receive a scholarship to play college tennis at University of Southern California (Steve Johnson teammate?). He's won five Futures titles but has only one Challenger final result (lost to Berankis this May on clay in Kazakhstan). He qualified at Munich ATP250 and made the QFs (beat G Melzer and Bellucci). His opponent tomorrow could be again RBA, who beat him there, 3&3.
