Who will win this battle that takes place tomorrow on the famous Pista Rafa Nadal?

Will Nadal rollover Chung just as easy as he did with the other twenty year-old last week? Or will the Korean Djokovic use the tactics of his idol to surprise Nadal and hand him the first defeat on his eponymous court?

These young guys seldom repeat peak levels two days in a row. I'm picking Nadal easily in 2.
You're probably right about your pick but I just want to point out two things:
1) Chung has been playing on a high level all week, so the last 5 matches that is.
2) He's got a defensively orientated game, he's not the ball basher who peaks one day and hits a top player off the court. I think he played pretty solid against Zverev and didn't do anything outlandish.

Let me be clear. If ANY of these young guys start winning, I'm excited!

Obviously Rafa is the favourite but this guy looks decent. He's good off both wings and good defensively. He's got good depth on ground strokes as well. He hasn't really got a killer weapon or big serve but there'll be times where he sticks with nadal in rallies and nadal will struggle to break him down. I hope for 1 and 1. But I think it'll be closer than that. I'll go for 6-3 6-4 Rafa.

I think you are spot on with your analysis.

Chung isn't as bad as Zverev on clay but Rafa is on amother level atm. Rafa to win in 2 sets with an early break of serve in each. So if Rafa serves first it'll be 3 & 4 otherwise 4 & 4.

Good luck running down Rafa forehands.

I watched some points from the Zverev Chung match but I was unable to really figure out what Chungs gameplan is since he won everything he put back into play.
That won't really work against Nadal.

Nadal in straights, a breadstick in the first.

In this tournament, Rafa meets nobodies all the way to the final.

Nads in two sets of good ol' Ben Dover tennis.

Rafa in straights, and this should be a no-brainer.

And to all still claiming Rafa is 'out-of-form', 'nowhere near his best', etc.:
since the start of the season, 5 finals reached (4 on his worst surface), 1 won, and quite possible, another 3 victories in sight.
If you think this is the regular resumé of an 'out-of-form' player, well, you may have just set your standards for being 'in form' a bit too high.
Unless of course you believe in 'weak era's'.

But... how many/little games will Chung get?
This is of course totally dependent on the decisive factor disclosed recently at MC: The Ump!

Cedric "Stevie Wonder" Mourier: no chance in hell, double bakery products for Chung :(
[random ump]: something like 6-2 6-3, five decent games for Chung
Carlos Bernardes: Chung might even get an early break, as Rafa might be caught of his guard seeing him on the chair. Will set things straight immediately thereafter, though, 6-4, 6-2.
Eva Asderaki (the one and only ump with BALLS): might rattle Rafa because of actually penalizing time-wasting routines, leading up to a solid 7 or even 8 games for Chung.

;)

This is getting a bit old already.

It's always good to see young guns doing well, but I cannot see anything other than a straight set victory by Nadal. Chung will have done well if he can win 6 games.

Okay that Murray match took way way way too long. I wanted to go boxing this evening but I can forget about that now.

Put them on court, let's go let's go let's go

The match will start soon but I cannot watch it. Hope you guys get some good entertainment, even though I think it will be a boring straight set win for Rafa.
