nadal hitting that extra gear. he does not want to lose this 1st set. so 1st set will go to rafa. and then the match.

I struggle to see the scenario where Chung gets more than 6 games tops in this match, but hope I'm wrong.

So it's a bagel in the second them I suppose, lulz.

j/k, respectable effort from Chung I'm guessing, before the breaker (not watching)

Nadal finally wins the set after a long painful first set. Let's see if Chung can keep the intensity or will just collapse in the 2nd set.

I predicted 6 games, so the second set should be a bagel. Great fight from Chung in the first, but wasn't able to hang in the breaker.

Chung is playing really well, his problem is the guy in the other side of the court. Hope he continues in this path, since it looks like a promising youngster
I wonder if after the match he will say "I will go to Madrid because I wanted to play Nadal again" :D

EDIT: Some german guy can take notes of this match, BTW

Rafa is obviously the clay GOAT and a top 5 player all time, but Chung took him to a tiebreak without a forehand. Let's not act like he's playing all that well today.

Nadal GOATing but Chung showing yesterday's win over Zeboorar (Korean word) no flake.
whats the relations between the various Asian male players, if you have insight on this?

its very interesting to me that Japan and Korea are seemingly ahead of China right now when it comes to male young guns on the tour.

how do they get along overall? is there any angst between them due to nationality, etc?

or is it not at all a consideration...

I don't think there is any tension or dislike among Asian male players of different nationalities. The craziness exist among fans just like Fed and Nadal.
