yes, definately a luck shot IMO. he happened to just be running across the net and chung it right down the middle of the court so rafa stuck his racquet out.

Watch it again. His anticipation along with his scary concentration were there. Maybe you haven't really paid attention over the years. His good net skills have always been there from the start. Watch his matches against Albert Costa MC 2003 or Fed Miami 2004 for some examples.

Wow huge surprise here. Nadal, the Clay GOAT is beating a 20 year old #94 in the world. Do you Nadal fans really need wins like this to boost your ego with?
Nothing to do with ego, annoying people calling a kid who has achieved nothing "clay king". He played well in the first set, overall Nadal too much for him on clay.

Ah like that. I always find it difficult reading Korean words in latin alphabet
I always find reading Korean words difficult in any alphabet. I only understand it when people are sending smoke signals with the message that my house is on fire.

Breadstick or swan I hope but will be okay with a lone break.

The kid is too good for that tbh. :)

So that's a swan eventually. I absolutely don't want Rafa Nadal to lose on Pista Rafa Nadal but Chung has nothing to be ashamed of. He should only improve from now on.

Nice to have more good Asian players on tour. Just not at the expense of some particular players though.

Very impressed with this Chung guy's play on clay. Some of his 2HBH down the line were breathtaking.

Agree, you can tell there are some elements to his game that trouble Nadal.

And Chung played brilliantly. Maybe just in the big moments some nerves showed and he either lost concentration or got a bit too bold / careless with his shot selection.

Nadal is in the outer stratosphere at the moment. No one is catching him on clay.

We are seeing some great moments in matches where people are red-lining their games to get as close to him as they can for a set, then Nadal is just putting the after-burners on and wiping out the match.

Except for 2016 FO which ended sadly because of injury, this is the best I have seen Nadal look on clay since 2013

Going to be an amazing French Open. Federer better be there......
