Probably gassed. He was leading 5:3 in the first set and ultimately lost it 75. Legless after his encounter with the GOAT depite not really challenged because Rafa stopped competing after he lost the first set because he didn't want to go to 3 sets to stand a chance of winning the match saying he wanted to avoid being on court for over two hours at this stage of his comeback.

Clearly not a big Norrie fan here, but also don't get why he is so underrated. He won Indian Wells and got to the Semifinal of Wimbledon... could've even won it without Djokovic. Won many other titles including a 500 on clay. Beat Alcaraz twice in their last 3 matches. Beat Nadal and Rublev last year. Beat Ruud this year at the Australian Open and then took Zverev to 5.

He is always an underdog in these kind of tournaments. No one beats him comfortably if you look at his results. Nothing shocking to see him win against Mayot or Bautista.

It really matters who was in the field during IW.
No young 3, no big 2, med and Zed out or just returning from serious injuries. It was the weakest year by far. Now that the real players are healthy his results are where they should be.
He beat Alcaraz when he was injured in S.A.. This is widely known.
I cannot help in this matter nor will I waste any time about this player.

Probably because almost everyone here hates him. I’m still unsure about who is the most hated player on tour. It must be very close between Norrie and de Minaur.

Norrie has the most awful looking strokes I have ever seen. I don't need pretty strokes all the time but it's as ugly as walking into a run down gas station's public bathroom. I'd rather watch cows grazing. He can't even make it past the qtrs of a 500 event with a low competition field.
