Med mentally losing it ?

Seems like it. His last week's loss was exactly the same. An opponent who was not giving up despite being a set and a break down. And a Medvedev who suddenly couldn't serve.

Plus Tien's lengthy rallying is wearing him down.

Oh well even if he loses this , I am still happier with his play.

Again he is proving he is mentally struggling. And it's not exactly his game.

Even the wobbly serve , he can put 3-4 unreturnable in succession. It's the fact he keeps letting himself imploded that has done him in.

You’d think after being shunned by almost everyone that could have helped me in my own tennis pursuits, almost ended up getting my mother arrested by getting involved with one of the most toxic people I’ve ever encountered in my life from this forum, and suffering this trauma as a fan over and over and over and over again, I’d have learned my lesson and quit this, but I’m a moron.

Cramping can be very painful. I remember Wozniacki had an awful full body cramp and she cried while lying on the floor.

It’s never gonna get better. See y’all for the next judo chop to the groin. Why couldn’t he have just lost 2 & 2?

Shame for Medvedev, just when he was rediscovering some form. Hopefully it was only affecting him today and he will be OK for Shanghai, where a meeting with Carlos looms in R4.

damn, who predicted Tien in the final against Sinner?...gonna' be a wipeout week for Alcaraz and Sinner and on to Shanghai...see Novak avoided them in the quarters again...got Sinner's half

So Sinner will actually win this despite not playing a single good match. Well, well...

Even a bad playing Sinner will destroy Tiens lackluster serve. He will be all over him every game.

Ah well cant watch more due to work , but I hope he wins this

Being a Medvedev fan is the most difficult thing ever.

But still 100000 times better than entire season.

He got cramps it seems but that's solely because of Tien and his unreal rally tolerance after going a set and a break down.

People who didn't watch the match won't know how tough set 1 was. It took 69 mins to win and Medvedev was two breaks down.

A great day to see Medvedev lose again to Tien. Tien seems like a nice kid so far and Medvedev continues to prove over and over again that he has much bigger problems than tennis in his life

I dont like what i watched from sinner in this tournement but hes been low energy since cincinnati virus ill he have in the final, i think he need a good 15 days total rest. Hes serve also is worse than ever again

I didn’t watch the match today.
But did medvedev really get a warning from the umpire for no effort while he was injured?

Now I can’t blame med for calling out umpires ever.

An umpire can make a mistake like any human but how one deals with that says a lot about a person. Medvedev is simultaneously a baby and a bully and doesn't treat others remotely like he demands to be treated.

He has been pretty bad the whole tournament. The days where he blew the opponents of court with people watching in awe are at least temporarily over. The serve is very inconsistent. ADM getting to a billion BPs says it all.

Pity if Medvedev was injured, just as it seemed he was gaining some momentum again. Pleased though, to see the 19 year old Tien through - hope he can put up a good match against Jannik.

ADM ruffled some feathers but ultimately, shown the door. Quelle surprise, as they no doubt say in Beijing. Can Tien ruffle more feathers? Well, let's start with putting up a good contest. Hope the kid plays well.
