Watching Med's interview after his earlier SF, it looks like he thought the Alcaraz-Sinner match would be a drawn out affair (as many of us did). It helps Sinner that he managed to close out the match quickly.
For sure. While I realize that Medvedev has dominated the matchup completely, that Miami final was really influenced by Sinner being an absolute wreck from the start, following his semi against Alcaraz.

Just saw the 4-5 min highlights. Alcaraz started well vs Sinner in first few games, but floundered afterwards. wasn't even hitting as well as he could with his gameplan, let alone using variety.
Med was just more solid/precise than Z.

I think players with a one handed backhand should get more prize money than the two-handed snowboarders of tennis. Making the game beautiful should be rewarded.

LOL, just check the draw from R1, it looks like the second week of a grand slam!
Yep, that's the problem with some slams. You get a few early upsets and the draw becomes a mess, especially when the player who scores an upset fails to maintain the surprising level.

Ask your dad, he's been smashed a few times
Super mature response for someone criticizing Murray for being immature. Anyway, you should head down to a local Over-50 soccer/football match sometime. You are guaranteed to see some "mature" gentleman acting decidedly immaturely.
Just watching highlights but there is suspicious quiet in Rubles matches! Where is the Bweeeh???!
I saw Rublev live at the US Open this year vs Draper, with decent enough seats that before the match I told my wife, 'get ready to hear Bweeh! a lot for the next few hours.' Then, to my shock, he rarely used it. Toward the end of the match, I actually started yelling 'BWEEEH!' after every point he won, just to keep the spirit alive. Got a lot of funny looks, and the wife was pretty embarrassed, but I'm like 30% certain someone from Rublev's player's box looked over at me one time like, 'is there really some dude yelling bweeh?,' which made it totally worth it!

A. Rublev certainly appreciates your efforts to keep alive the language of the rub-y necked warbler.
