Or, the other possibility is that Raonic isn't/wasn't as bad a player as many made him out to be. Sure, he's slow, clumsy, and probably wasn't quite of the calibre we'd like to see of a #3 ranked player. However, the sum total of his game had a pretty wicked effect on the right days. When he was healthier, I don't think anyone on tour wanted to see him in their way in the draw. He brought something different than the hordes of cookie-cutter power baseliners, and that was a nice variation to see. We credit other players for having an effective serve and bag on them when they don't serve well. With that in mind, I could never understand why Milos got so much hate for having a great serve. Of course, other aspects of his game were weaker, but every player has a unique combination of strengths and weaknesses.
