This match proves it indoors, sure. Not much to suggest it is the case anywhere else. The real issue is that in most tournaments he'd have to play more than 1 guy inside the top 70 in the world. Does it much matter if he can play the top guys close(r than others) if he cannot beat Fritz or Medvedev?

I mean, when he plays to the level he is capable of his tennis certainly is. He can border on unplayable. The inability to play like that even a little bit consistently is certainly a 'mind' issue.

So Sinner ends the year #2 and again, a losing season to Alcaraz. Hopefully that changes next season. I do expect Sinner to have a positive season in the head to head for the next one. Think the Spaniard has maxxed his capabilities and the Italian, with his later bloom will shine more in the long run

Sure, the dude seems to have found form again, but the finishing line still evades him. It seemed likely at the outset that Jannik would win Vienna, he'll no doubt be pleased to have done it. Rightly so - incredible achievement to continue his dominance on indoor hard.

I just think Zverev is a bad matchup for Sinner for some reason. He seem's to defuse some of Sinner's game somehow.
