A couple of close calls that were probably out.I just got home and only saw MP. Why Zverev cranky? That was a cold handshake and he had some choise words for the umpire as well

And takes it out on his opponent. What a twat!Fils wins, 7-1 in the breaker. Good win for his 2nd ATP title. Feel for Zverev, dude can't get a win recently.
That can´t be a bad thing when playing the ZedrotI really dislike the confrontational body language of Fils. He’s made it very personal.
Fils underarm served him down championship point (he missed) and Zverev just seemed to be in a mood from then on. Fils says post-match that he was cramping, that's why he did it. As if he needs an excuse.I just got home and only saw MP. Why Zverev cranky? That was a cold handshake and he had some choise words for the umpire as well
Classic Zverev. And takes it out on his opponent. What a twat!
Zverev just upset with himself as he was the better player who messed up every opportunity he got. 22 BP point chances and didn’t allow a BP in the final set, but choked it away.I just got home and only saw MP. That’s no good reason to be petty and sulky and keep having pokes at Fils. He needs to own his own weaknesses. But then he generally doesn’t do that does he?Zverev just upset with himself as he was the better player who messed up every opportunity he got. 22 BP point chances and didn’t allow a BP in the set, but choked it away.
the letsgoyelling zviraffe is reaching a stratospheric federesque level in terms of BP conversion rate... impressiveZverev wins 1 out of 22 BPs

Of course, but the poster asked why Chainz was acting this wayThat’s no good reason to be petty and sulky and keep having pokes at Fils. He needs to own his own weaknesses. But then he generally doesn’t do that does he?
Arthur breaks into the top 20 with this win btw. Good for him.
Pretty good chance Fils loses his 1st or 2nd match.Arthur picks up 500 on clay right before going back home for Olympics. He's got to like his chances there.
This match should have been over when he had his diabetic episode at 4-2 first set. I really thought he was going to retire but he played on for the home crowd.Of course, but the poster asked why Chainz was acting this way

Good job by the 20 year old. Boost for his confidence for the Olympics. This one was best quality of the 3 ATP European finals today. That’s no good reason to be petty and sulky and keep having pokes at Fils. He needs to own his own weaknesses. But then he generally doesn’t do that does he?

It was not match point. Just break point at 5-5 (or 4-4).Fils underarm served him down championship point (he missed) and Zverev just seemed to be in a mood from then on. Fils says post-match that he was cramping, that's why he did it. As if he needs an excuse.
You don't need to.It was not match point. Just break point at 5-5 (or 4-4).

He didn’t like the underarm serve, even though Fils lost the point having served it. He moaned - a game or so later it was disrespectful. He had an episode where he didn’t feel well in the opening set so was clearly out of sorts. He was in front of his home crowd so expected to win and couldn’t handle not doing so easily.Of course, but the poster asked why Chainz was acting this way
No harm done.Reply to the same post twice.
This is Chainz. Also, Chainz mostly gave the match to Fils rather than Fils winning it, so Chainz is salty about it. It would be different had Chainz been outplayed. He didn’t like the underarm serve, even though Fils lost the point having served it. He moaned - a game or so later it was disrespectful. He sucked all the joy out of Arthur’s win, who didn’t even feel like celebrating his win - look at his reaction (Fils)
Miserable, grumpy git.
So many BP opportunities and he couldn’t take them so I got the impression he felt increasingly frustrated and he took it out on young Arthur.
If you mean he wasn’t playing well enough so that ‘gives’ the match to Fils, then that’s on him. Fils was resilient in the face of a top 5 player and wouldn’t give in. He also dealt with a crowd who were largely against him and a petulant brat. This is Chainz. Also, Chainz mostly gave the match to Fils rather than Fils winning it, so Chainz is salty about it. Yeah, unfortunately I could only watch til 3:3 in the third but before I remember two 0:40 service games from Fils where he played some brillant and courageous points!Zverev wins 1 out of 22 BPs

Fils complained to the umpire for 5 minutes in an agitated way, because zverev took a sip from his glucose water bottle between points during a game. Zverev had a diabetic episode and was given glucose by the doctor in the previous game. I think this is what started the feud. I mean the guy was fainting you could give him some slack and the umpire didn’t mind.Bit out of order from Zverev as Fils did nothing wrong. Complaining to the umpire and offering a cold handshake at the net put a bit of a damper on Fils' celebration. Can understand Zverev's disappointment and frustration but that was naughty.
