Many breaks and re-breaks from what I read, how was Carlos’ performance?
Bergs broke him 3 times but each time was immediately broken back. Carlos was over hitting on the forehand trying to shorten points but although his movement was not noticeably hampered, he was clearly tentative and had his ankle on his mind. He played well but not at his usual pace. Hopefully if his ankle feels good after this match his confidence in it will improve.

Carlos double-faulted on his first point, but then wins the next four. He's looking ultra-aggressive on his serve that, trying to keep the points short.
Yah man, needs to keep them short given the likely ankle niggles. Enjoyed Bergs' attitude- dude tried his best - returned well and broke Carlitos several times.

Nice summary. In the court interview, Carlitos said he was a little concious of the ankle. Interesting how it isn't just the injury but the confidence that can be impacted, which drives performance. Hope he keeps well.

Rune / Ruud / Fritz looking focused, all through. In the qf's some interesting contests looming: Fritz / Korda; Rune / Brooksby; Ruud/ Viukic & Carlitos / Nakashima. Will the top 4 seeds prevail? Let's see.

I'm interested to see Korda, with this mini-run of his here.

Korda and Fritz an absolute snooze fest. Won't waste any of my Saturday Night watching it. Korda is even more boring to watch play than Fritz.
Korda is a very entertaining shotmaker when he is really on (unfortunately, that's infrequently). As I've noted before, he's like a male Rybakina in terms of both the languid, easy power and the distressing carelessness.

Great serving by Korda in the tiebreak.

Nice drop shot winner too.

Hopefully he can keep it up and take this to the 3rd set.

Top level tennis from Carlos to take the first set 6-2. 18 winners and the forehand is firing! He has taken a bit of pace off his serve still, maybe to protect the ankle.

Minor ankle injury with a tape job, he can't even feel the ankle. Zero issue, no reason to try and create drama that isn't there.
