Fils breaks. He looks like he's about ready to put this match to bed. He's been solid today.

I've got myself covered no matter what. LOL

Good choices. They were pretty much mine as well. Lol. I mean the talent and potential from both of these guys kind of jumps off the screen so that made it easy for us to notice.

Hehehehee

The drama we saw in that Wimbledon might never be replicated, it had everything, and I don't know if I ever heard a louder crowd than that Ivanisevic-Rafter final.
Yesss, it was unbelievably epic! Still smiling when I think about it hehe

For those that didn't see it live as it happened, will never truly know what W 2001 actually means to the sport.

It was about as close to a perfect tournament there has ever been, to top that will take something of the like we have never seen before in this sport.

Couldn't agree more man!

Federer dethroning The Grass King who had won 4 in a row in a classic marathon match Federer's first big moment, sort of like Alcaraz beating Djokovic at '23W but obviously not as advanced as Alcaraz was but more of a passing of the torch moment then the hometown Brit in Henman beating Federer in a marathon match, 2 classic semis then maybe the best or at least most dramatic finals ever played considering how badly Ivanisevic wanted it and Rafter playing at the top of his game and all the theatrics in that match. There were other storylines too but these really stuck out for me.

Sorry, off topic but just funny you mentioned that tournament because it's probably my favorite one as well.

Yes, a lot of good memories + takes on history in this live thread :)

Yes, and lets not forget on top of that, Ivanisevic beat Moya, Roddick, Rusedski, Safin, Henman and Rafter in a row....LOL

Then Escude beating Hewitt in an epic five sets, and so much more. It truly was the greatest tennis tournament of all time. I am confident it isn't getting touched. So many epic storylines also.

The dethroning of Sampras as Wimbledon King
The passing of the torch from Sampras to Federer in spirit
The Heman, can he he become the first Brit to finally win Wimbledon since Perry
The third and classic conclusion to the Agassi vs Rafter trilogy
The epic Cinderella story of Ivanisevic as the wild card on his last chance

It was like the crescendo of the sport.
