Haters in ruins! The Muzziah proves himself worthy member of Big four - only matter of time.

Federer shares the Most Wimbledon Titles record...

Raonic should just look at his box every time he gets nervous, think 'At least I have that, even if I lose' and feel the nerves slowly fade away

But, in that case, how should anyone ever be able to beat Raonic so long as he holds serve? The fact of the matter is that the top players can do it because they dig in and take advantage of Raonic's 2nd serves so that he becomes more nervous and then starts missing his first. It's called playing the game and trying to put your opponent off his. That's the only way to beat a guy with a serve like Raonic because if you can't make him nervous, he will stay confident and on serve and then it becomes an almost impossible task. The lower ranked players haven't yet figured this out or aren't skilful enough to do it but, to the very top players, its the very bread and butter of their game. That's why they are at the top!

They're too unbeatable for my taste. But to each his own era, of course.

Maybe it will take a liitle while longer for some of JMac's legendary mental strength to rub off on him?

Looks like it already has! JMac botched a relatively simple volley in the 1984 RG Final when up 2-0, and subsequently handed the momentum and the match to Lendl.
And today his charge (Raonic) missed an easy volley put-away to go up 4-1 in the second set and practically seal the match, and Lendl's charge (Murray) charged through to the title

Great job Murray, 5 queens!!!!!!!

Shame I didn't get to see a single match.

I really didn't think an in form Raonic would be beaten on grass, not with that serve.

That is 4 finals in a row now: Madrid, Rome, French Open, Queens Club.

Lol...there must be something about Lendl that just scrambles Mac's and Milos' concentration! ;)

Quite the winning streak against anyone not named Djokovic

Yep, last loss was to Nadal in Monte Carlo, impressive indeed.

Brilliant job from Andy btw, coming back from a set and a break down, he actually broke Raonics serve FOUR times!

His serve has been working pretty well throughout the whole week, gives me confidence going into Wimbledon.

Props to raonic, it was a great fight, not quite there yet obviously but he should be considered the 4th favourite imo behind the usual ones.

Lovely weekend!

I swear someone here commented that he wanted a wildcard for the event but didnt get it so got in another way (i know not how) and he's gone on to win the whole event? That would be some god-teir karma for whoever decides on WC
That is correct. I believe (not 100% sure) I read he was unhappy one was given to Fritz instead of him and he therefore had to use his protected ranking which are limited. He sure showed them

The initials PR are against his name in the main draw so I assume that means he gained entry to the main draw under a 'protected ranking'.

Congrats to Murray, coming back from a set and a break down.

Good job Milos. I look forward to what you can do at Wimbledon.

I am disappointed at those people who, with hindsight, are suddenly and excitedly jumping on the 'I told you so.l...I told you that Milos sucks' bandwagon. Where where you after the first set?

To those whining about the 'weak era', I hear you. I totally agree that this isn't the strongest group in a long time. But let's not completely diminish their tennis abilities. Could you get out there on the court against them?

Yes, I'm excited for the NextGen. Bring them on!

Well, after a win at a 500, he will be able to get into lots of events directly and so he won't need to use his PR much if at all.

Looks like the PR did its job!

The win gets him to a rank of 80, which is high enough for direct entry into Slams and 250s, not masters series events yet but he can certainly build his ranking without *needing* wildcards/PRs to get into the tournaments he wants. (And even some 500s).

Fun fact - in Halle, the last direct acceptance was Malek Jaziri, ranked 64. In the spring claycourt season in barcelona, the last direct acceptance was... Malek Jaziri, ranked 108. That guy has a knack for just making the cutoff at 500s!

Puhleeeasse...tennis is not a contact sport (except against a little yellow ball)! ;)

I meant Lendl will punch Becker, not Andy .There's no rule that says Lendl should play tennis.;)

You have a point there.:D
