Perfect illustration of the way in which Murray allows negative emotion to control him at times. There wasn't much excuse to drop serve at 0-1 in the second, since Murray's hold game was impregnable all day. He chose to feel bad about the first set, and allowed that negativity to carry over into the first part of the second set.

I doubt it. Once Andy let the tie-breaker go I knew he had to up his level pronto in the 2nd set and he obviously hasn't been able to do so. Fatal when playing an in-form Raonic. He's a gonna...you know it, I know it, we all know it. First time he's lost in the final of anything below a Masters since 2012 Dubai I think and that was against an on-fire Federer!

Is there anyone more unpleasant when they are winning or when an opponent makes a mistake than Murray? Almost want him to break his jaw when he screams. Call it passion if you will but i think he is just a bit classes (on court) off court I love the guy. However over here in the UK they paint him as unbeatable when we'll watch the last few major matches.

He may not be perfect and feel free to moan about him all you like mate but he is a gift from Heaven for British tennis. Just try to imagine what the latter would be like without him? I don't particularly wish to!

If Raonic can't beat Murray while one set and 3-0 up in the second on grass and with his serve, there's really no hope for him. Murray raising his level is no valid explanation for this, because even then Raonic should be able to hold his serve until the end. This was gifted more than it was won.

But, in that case, how should anyone ever be able to beat Raonic so long as he holds serve? The fact of the matter is that the top players can do it because they dig in and take advantage of Raonic's 2nd serves so that he becomes more nervous and then starts missing his first. It's called playing the game and trying to put your opponent off his. That's the only way to beat a guy with a serve like Raonic because if you can't make him nervous, he will stay confident and on serve and then it becomes an almost impossible task. The lower ranked players haven't yet figured this out or aren't skilful enough to do it but, to the very top players, its the very bread and butter of their game. That's why they are at the top!
