Brat is broken by Beast. He's quite subdued without mommy hovering nearby.

Edit: sadly he's doing what young Agassi used to do - if he gets broken once, he tanks the set. Gets broken again with no effort, just to hurry up and get to set 3.

What is Rune doing in his servicegame? All kinds of weird shot choices. He's lucky Siafullin does not want the break ... this upsets him so much, gets immediately broken afterwards

Agree, gives me strong Lapentti vibes...

Something you do not want to see in a young but still up and coming top player predicted to possibly be among the best of his generation

Runes' serve has been good for most of this match and he showed some real high level ground strokes in that sixth game

Bublik goes out with a whimper to a part timer.

Haven't seen Bublik play in a while but his movement didn't look as good as I remembered it. Also while I don't particularly enjoy watching Raonic, there is no denying the pace and effectiveness of his serve. His ground strokes wrere also quite impressive today with surprisingly good placement given the pace he puts on them. Some very fast winners.

Pleased to see Grigor through against Sonego in straights. I hope he has another excellent run here, although Fucsovics can be a handful.
An excellent result for Holger against Safiulin, who played very well at times and was ardent in the 2nd set. To retrieve and maintain the momentum in the decider was impressive. His antics aside, I hope he can sustain / improve his form, and get through against Shevchenko.
No surprises in the De Minaur / Goffin match – I like David's game but he had to come through the qualies and can't hold up to a robust opponent. ADM will be pleased to get through to the QF
Jannik continues his superb form and eases into the latter stages of the tournament against the world number 82. I anticipate more of the same against Gael.
Sorry to note that Denis is out and Alex Bublik too. I thought Raonic had retired ……
For tomorrow I hope Grigor / Holger / Tallon get through.

Musetti / Bublik playing doubles here – interesting pairing, I’ll try and watch a match of theirs. My pick here are Roger-Vasselin / Mahut, for old times sake!

Felix up a set against Andrey - who is somewhat bemused! Lool! I like Felix's dignified demeanour. Is he going to remain focused and get this done in straights?
