AdM affirms the break ... Dimi has to answer right now
Edit : he does, great volley, big FH, ridiculous half volley

True, he seems like an improved version of Djokovic 2011 since the game is constantly evolving. Would be some achivement if he goes undefeated to clay season.
Definitely not. He’s not there yet, he’s close but not 2011 level yet. He’s at Djokovic 2012/13 level now I think.

Impressive match from Alex, didn't drop his level and physically just better overall. Coming in to this match I was expecting Grigor to have a slight but noticeable advantage in put away power but was not the case.

Sinner won very convincingly. He gave him a bagel

Alright I see, if both players are in peak form I see a convincing win for Sinner. He seems to be nursing some arm/wrist pain atm though and hasn't won in quite as convicing fashion so far in this tournament which is why I think ADM coming in with good momentum might push him to a close fight

Dimitrov hasn’t looked like able to sustain high intensity matches in succession lately. It must be his age, and obviously not everyone can be a Djokovic. I was expecting a loss today, but just hoping for a small miracle because I wanted to watch him play against Sinner.

Great atmosphere in the Ahoy Arena (3rd greatest tennis stadium in the world 16k seats). Game on !

With this win, Sinner becomes the first Italian in the open era to climb as high as world number 3 - man or woman. Up to this point, he shared the record with Panatta and Schiavone, who both made it to number 4, in 1976 and 2011 respectively.

If he wins tomorrow, he will be number 3 the next day. If he loses, he will still automatically go to number 3 on February 26.

(In tennis prehistory, before the official computer rankings, Pietrangeli was also at one point ranked number 3 by Lance Tingay)

Alex de Minaur plays at his very best right now, but when Sinner delivers he will be beaten into submission imo
